What's the craziest lie you have told or someone has told you? Did it work/did you believe them initially?

In high school a friend of mine insisted that he was a model, and not just any model, but one who regularly traveled around the world. He didn't exactly have typical model looks and never seemed to be out of town and there were a dozen other things that pointed out how ridiculous the idea was, but he insisted on it for a long time and no one ever challenged him on it because, well, I don't really remember why. No one ever believed him for a second though.

Oh boy i had my best friend calling Mojang asking for help with a hacker on our realm in minecraft because I trolled and did minor creepy stuff when he wasnt online and denied it wasnt me.

Lets just say i took it too far, but it was pretty funny. I wont be doing it again even though he was cool with it after... he doesnt really get mad easily. just extremely worried lol.

Outside of that lie, which was more of a prank, I dont lie. I pride myself in my truthfulness.

A boy at high school used to lie and say he was very rich. Yeah right! He lived in a shithole area and lied about everything he could.

I then saw him again a few years ago and he lied again, telling me he had got lucky with one of our old teachers. I don't think so somehow!

i mean it's not exactly crazy, but my nonexistent uncle earl died at least 6 times my freshman year of uni. conveniently all during times major assignments were due. no one seemed to catch on, or either they didn't really care.

I think some of the stupidest and most pointless lies I ever told were when I was younger.

When I was about 7 I told my mom they were coming out with a barbie themed emailing platform (not how I worded it then, obviously) that would play the barbie theme song when you got a new email. She believed me (or rather wasn't paying attention) cause she was all "Oh, how cool, sweetie" and I broke down crying cause I felt so guilty that I had lied and she had a talk with me and that was about it haha. I literally lied for no reason, mainly just to see if I could get away with it. I dunno, little kids are weird I guess.

idk if you could classify this as a lie, but i convinced my sister that my lamp was voice activated, when infact it was only a switch. the funny thing is, she actually did try to voice activate it, and didn't notice that i was holding the switch for it. note, she was idk 10~ years old at that time so lmao

The craziest lie I've been told by someone is that they wanted to make America great again.
