    Think back quite a few years back just before each set of these games were released. What was the craziest rumour you heard? Maybe something about N being the real leader of Team Plasma... Or a dolphin Pokemon? Or an ugly cactus thing? Lol

    What's the thing that stands out to you now as woah ... I believed that?
     
    There was not a lot I believed, but there were a lot of rumours for these games. I still remember it as a funny time as all of us were speculating with little information we'd get from Pokémon Sunday. Back then Pokémon Sunday and CoroCoro had a way more important role in getting information about the game out, as opposed to social media like now. In a way, that mystery surrounding the games and the sometimes crazy rumours that came out of it made the wait for Black and White even more exciting.

    My favourite 'rumour' is actually from BW2, when we got the first few videos of Aspertia City, the first route, and the battle with our new rival...

    This was a very short-lived rumour as the name was obviously a joke one chosen by the person playing it, but I honestly believed it for a second and was dying of laughter for at least a few days. I was ready to call my own rival HIHIHIROSHI in my own game, as ridiculous as it sounded, because I really thought it was the real name for a while.

    Side note: I love this boy and I'm still bitter they named him Hugh in English. What a stuffy name.

    EDIT: I'm watching old Pokémon Sunday videos right now because I loved this time too much.

    I remember the rumour that Bianca was the Champion in B/W. My first thoughts of that were like "this has to be a joke" and I guess I was glad it didn't happen.
     
    I'm pretty sure I heard a rumor about the original Black and White games. It was that if you battled Cynthia 20 times in a row without losing at her villa she will tell you she has to go back to Sinnoh and will ask you if you want to go with her. I definitely believed it but sadly it wasn't true. I was so excited at the fact that we could go to Sinnoh in this game, but I guess thinking back on it, that would be weird if they introduced Sinnoh right after the next generation made it's debut.

    The crazy thing is Darumaka is REAL, but that plant thing wasn't.. that's what confuses me lol that was the first reveal of Darumaka if I recall correctly so I don't have a clue why someone would troll us. Probably the WORST moment in the lead up to the games lmao.

    LMAO I REMEMBER THAT HIDEOUS PLANT

    BW leaks were weird, man. There was fake and real shit coming out at once, in one image even. I still am impressed with how this Fakemon was put in that image without it looking fake at all. Well, some Pokémon looked blatantly fake, but I couldn't tell from this that the Fakemon was Photoshopped in there afterwards.

    But, lest we forget, nothing beats this starter prediction:
