Estelle crouched on the roof of the building, waiting for any orders. No one was speaking, and she now wished she had at least attempted to speak to one of the other members of her team earlier. She always had her Pokemon, but it would have been nice to know that someone here had her back. She didn't know any of them and she wasn't sure who she could trust. They were all supposedly on the same team, but once the mob got to them, who knew how things would turn out?
Estelle's Luxray rubbed against her affectionately and she pet its side. Luxray would protect her she knew; and she had her Gyarados as well. He was powerful and she knew it. Still, she couldn't help but to put her hand over the small handgun under her black jacket on her right side. She had two since they were so small compared to some of the weapons the others were wielding, each tucked into her belt on either side. They were simple handguns, she thought they were called Glocks, but she couldn't be sure. She was no expert when it came to weapons. Estelle had to admit, she hadn't been keen on using any sort of weapons to begin with, especially when she had her Pokemon and knew she was probably better at handling them than a gun, but she liked the feeling of them there. Extra protection. She couldn't be too careful.
"The kid's coming, take care of anyone there and try to subdue him," George said quickly through the walkie-talkie. Estelle was surprised and wasn't exactly sure what to do at first. This wasn't supposed to happen. She should have expected something would go wrong though. She wasn't going to wait for anyone to act, for once she had to do what she needed to do. She stood up and ran to the edge of the building, looking down to the ground. There stood a group of twelve to fourteen people, Estelle couldn't be sure. One of them spotted her immediately, and raised their weapon.
The sound of the gunshot was so loud her ears began ringing. That one shot began what seemed like a rain of bullets. She dropped to her knees behind the ledge of the building. "Holy Jesus," she gasped, heart pounding. "Luxray stay back!" Estelle couldn't stand the thought of her Luxray taking a bullet. Instead she pulled her two handguns from her waistband; one in each hand. She cocked the guns, took a deep breath, stood up and began firing. The man who had fired at her fell to the ground and she couldn't surpress a smirk. She ducked behind the ledge again, not wanting to test her luck by staying in view for too long. If however her luck did turn bad, she hoped the people around her would be willing to help her, even though she had not been willing to initiate relations with any of them before.
