4th Gen Crystal Remake

    Since HGSS has been announced...
    I wondered, will there be a Crystal remake?
    What do you think?
    What would it be called?
     
    There will be no Crystal remake because most of the stuff from Crystal was added, like the Suicune event, and expanded upon, like how there's also events for Raikou & Entei, in HeartGold & SoulSilver.

    Similarly, there were no Yellow (or Blue) remakes for FireRed & LeafGreen.

    Crystal additions are in HGSS, including Eusine, Suicune as an event battle, Extremespeed Dratini, etc. There is no reason to make a Crystal remake as there was no reason to make a Blue remake (Blue's changes were in FRLG - Yellow doesn't count as the third game in Gen 1, it was technically the fourth).

    The next remakes you can expect are Ruby/Sapphire remakes once we've gotten through Generation 5 and advanced onto the next level of Gameboy (remakes are two Game Boys and two generations behind so far).
     
    im still pro-prism, but maybe they wont make a remake of crystal because everyone knows that the remakes arent as much better as the regulars.

    That's rather down to opinion though - many preferred FR/LG over RSE, and I prefer HG/SS over D/P/Pt myself. Besides, HG/SS will seell like hotcakes.

    Anyways, this discussion has been had many times before, and the basic conclusion has already been posted - very unlikely a Crystal remake will occur, for basically HG/SS is already a Crystal remake - vast majority of the Crystal features are in HG/SS, especially the main ones.

    Going to close then - no point having discussion go beyond this, especially when it's been exhausted before.
