I was willing to let Robert along, he seemed in good enough condition, but Kristen...No. She was in trouble, I could tell that much from the get-go. Holding out an arm, I blocked her path and said "Stay back for now. I'll let you know what's going on later." without another word, I began descending further into the cave-tunnel. The light seemed to know this and moved further away, as if leading us on.

"What the hell!?" I shouted as I surfed the local weather site. "There are no reports about this thing! Nothing at all! The day's forecast is still sunny!" I never expected it to be forecasted though. It just suddenly popped out of nowhere. "Could you guys go check out that light already?"

Kristen sighed and continued shivering. Kristen sat down and shuffled through her large bag to pull out her sleeping bag. She shook her head and sat it down on the groud. She crawled into it and began to feel warmer. kristen wished she wasn't so weak. Kristen had to resist closign her eyes for the moment and focussed on staring at the cieling. Kristen silently wondered what that lgiht could be. She thought it to be unlikely others were in there. But then, what could it be? Seh pondered on these things.

"What the bloody hell do you think I'm trying to do" I growled at David, continuing to follow the light. It kept moving away, adjusting itself to whatever speed I moved at. Suddenly, without the slightest warning (not even a brightening of the tunnel) I stepped into daylight. Warm daylight. No clouds. No wind. No storm. It was, if anything, even moreperfect than the day had been before the storm. That, though, was not what caught my eyes. I stood in an open valley, surrounded by luch green grass. In the middle of the valley stood a city (and a magnificent one at that). Or rather, what might have once been a city. The stone walls and domes of the building had toppeled in on themselfes. Not a single window held a pane of glass. Trees poked out of breaks in the paving stones. Whatever this place had been had been gone for some time. Not that that mattered. It was warm.

Ecstatic, I turned on my heel and ran back into the tunnel. The cold hit me like a wall, but I needed to collect everyone. I could feel the smile now. We were saved. Saved! Almost dead a inute before, maybe dead the next, but for now, alive.

I sat in my sleeping bag, starting to finally warm up despite the weather. I watched in melancholy from the emotiona and physical drain this whole experience was becoming. And now that I was starting to feel warm again, my eyes felt heavy from sleep.

"Find something?" I called down the tunnel towards Ozy, hearing his footsteps coming this way. I doubt he found anything though. What was there to find in a cave like this anyways? Though I was still getting that weird vibe, I decided to ignore it, thinking it was nothing.

"Definately" I gasped, slightly out of breath from the exertions of the day. My breath was misting in front of me. "Get everyone. Come now. Safety." I was a little too excited to explain more, but after staring Death in the face, then finding a groin kick workd as well on him as on any other guy, you tended to be pretty happy.

"Uh... okay..." I replied, blinking non-stop the whole time. I was questioning if he had lost it or something, considering there was probably nothing for miles. "You heard the man, lets go then!" I exclaimed, closing my laptop up with a loud click. "You sure you ain't getting a fever or somethin Ozy?"

Jeremy found himself wondering through tunnel after tunnel, turning left here and right there, having no clue where he was, just trying to find someone or something that could help him.

"Which way?" Jeremy muttered to himself, as he came upon a fork, with one tunnel leading left and the other right. He then jerked his head right, "I must be hearing things..." he scolded himself, he thought he heard voices that echoed distantly through that tunnel.

"Why not?" he then added as he started off to the right tunnel. Lifting his hand hit, as his makeshift torch lit the tunnel walls.

Kristen groaned and hopped out of her sleeping bag. She rolled it up and put it in her pink bag. She hefted the bag onto her shoulder. Kristen wasn't shivering anymore and felt better. Kristen sighed and looekd around. kristen wondered why they had to leave. It seemed perfectly fine in where they were.

I was sitting in the valley, plopped down on the grass. I couldn't believe it. How could the temperatue be so different? What was this light, and how could it nourish the plants? None of this made any sense, and I was sitting there, stunned, as I tried to figure it out.

I felt the tempearture suddenly rise, and I found myself looking on what had to be the ruins of a city. There was lush green grass and trees everywhere, but it only served to alarm me slightly. It was impossible. to say the least. But I was alone, and i rushed back to the snow shelter, shocke that it was still a raging storm outside, but I gathered my equipment and brought it back to the light area, leaving my wet clothes and all other wet items in the light to dry out.

Finally he found his way through the maze of tunnels, to what appeared to be ruins of a city long since forgotten. "Wow..." he muttered in amazement, as he stubbled forward, keeping his guard up, places like this were probably heavily guarded.

"What is this place?" he said alittle louder as he came closer, now he felt like someone or something was out there and he extinguished his poorly made torch, since it appeared not to have any use anymore.

"Come on, come on" I said impatiently, anxious to get back to the valley. I moved on ahead, shouting "Follow the tunnel! You'll see what I mean!" I wanted back there, it was so...Idyllic. It was almost as wonderous to take in the second time as the first, a beautiful scene. I'd warm up here for a while, maybe establish a small camp, then look for Rachel. I polpped onto the grass besie Robet and leaned back on my wrists, saying "Thank the gods, huh?"

"I'm not so sure." I said, looking around. "There isn't any sun out, so what's generating this light? And it can't really be artificial, because the plants seem to be growing as though it's natural. And that doesn't even begin to explain just what this place is." I said, still looking around. I was getting back to my normal self, but I was still shocked, and more than a little aprehensive...

"At least we're not going to die here" I replied wryly. It DID seem a bit unnatural, and after a moment, added "Or, if we do, we're not going to be cold. Besides, that wind was getting on my nerves." Here, there was just a light breeze, quite pleasant, relly. It carried on it the scent of spring.

"Crud... Where? How?" I muttered as I entered the area. There was no way this was possible, it wasnt even marked on the map! "So, any idea where this is? I don't like it, I'm getting a very bad feeling, a VERY bad one." It was true though, something wasnt right.

Jeremy propped himself up against a broken wall, that held a crumpling cilling, it was low, only big enough for him to crouch under, but it seemed to be wide. He took off his cowboy hat and sat there, exhausted from the hike, just wanting to fall asleep and get some rest before something came.

Kristen followed along unti lthey came upon the valley. Kristen gasped in awe as she stared at everythign there. She shook her head and inhaled a breath of the fresh air. "How is this possible?" asked Kristen. It was so nice ehre...
