Mood: We made it!
After a long run of a random assortment of blogs from science topics to personal life subjects to podcasts and interviews to tournaments, we've finally reached the big one hundred! It's been a long time coming, but I'm happy to see that the blog has been able to survive for this long (and hopefully many more entries to go!) If it wasn't for the constant readership of this blog from you, I most likely would have not continued this. But I digress. Before continuing though, I'd like to make one mute announcement: there was more to the Thank You series than just giving specific members shoutouts. If your name was listed in any of the previous Thank You entries, I would like to donate $5 towards PC supportership to each and every one of you. I know it isn't much, but it's just my way of saying thank you for you just being you. If you would gladly accept this, just shoot me a PM and I'll have it executed swiftly and promptly.
Back to the actual entry now! As some of you may have noticed - or have seen me mention before in a past entry - I've strongly been a believer that the blog became more mainstream due to the "Meet the PC'ers" portion of the Daily Bloggity. It has been a great way to connect the community members with one another by giving a backdrop or synopsis of a chosen user. As an ode to this, I decided to fill out my own interview that I send to people. However, these are just the general questions that I ask people. The second part of this interview is being given to you, the reader. Ever since the "Meet the PC'ers" segment started, numerous people have asked me if they could reverse the roles where I am the one being interviewed and thus they take the role of the interviewer. This, to appease this interest, that is the second part of this entry: if you would like to ask me any question - and I mean any question; there are no restrictions as I am quite a very open person - then comment below and I will gladly oblige. As such, here is the Daily Bloggity's entry #100: Meet The Editor.
When did you become a member of PokeCommunity and how did you come across it?
I first came across PokeCommunity in January of 2009. Seems a little nuts thinking back that I'd still be on this site 5 years later, but PC has definitely evolved into something more than a Pokemon site for me. Back in '09 though, I experimented with different sites for trading Pokemon because I wanted to become an avid trader. I started off with Marriland, but I wasn't a huge fan of the design of the site and thus switched over to PokeCommunity. I mainly visited the Trade Center - as I was mainly intimidated by a lot of people on the site to traverse elsewhere, as I was only 15 at the time - and thus ended up with one of the biggest Trade Centers there to date (over 7,000 posts, 150,000 views.)
What is the significance or origin behind your username? Past usernames?
Ah, now this is a very good question. A lot of people have asked me what the meaning of my username is - or more over how to actually pronounce it - so I'm more than happy to answer this. However, back in the early days of this blog I already made a pretty in depth explanation of my username's significance so to avoid being redundant if you'd like to read more into it you can find the blog entry dedicated to my username right here
Which forum do you see yourself gravitating towards the most and why?
There are actually quite a few forums that I've been gravitating towards as of late. Obviously, Video Games - the place I know moderate - is one of the most frequently visited. I just enjoy looking into what kinds of games people are into and as a result find new games for me to play, as well as bringing new ways in how to play their games so community members can spark new fun ways to play them. Besides the Video Games section of PC, I also like to go to the Chit Chat Cafe and Fan Clubs. As I run a few clubs in the Fan Clubs section - Rooster Teeth, NFL Gridiron, and The Youtube Society - as the club's owner it's my job to keep them constantly running. Which it hasn't been a hassle or anything like that - I thoroughly enjoy the conversations that I have with the members of each of the clubs. Lastly, the Chit Chat Cafe is just an easy way to unwind and mellow out, as the topics are more every day topics that are easy to reply to.

What is your favorite pokemon and why?
If you couldn't already tell just by looking at my blog, my favorite Pokemon is Arcanine! Being an old fart and having Pokemon Yellow be my first Pokemon game ever being played, I absolutely loved the concept of a puppy being a Pokemon, and thus had caught Growlithe when I saw the chance. However, when I was able to evolve him into Arcanine, that's when I realized how badass he really is. In the Pokedex he's classified as the "Legendary Pokemon" and said to "run agiley as if on wings," making him seem like one of the fastest Pokemon out there. Plus, his design is just...ahhhh, it's beautiful. The colors complement very well with each other and I just really wish I had one to ride. 'Nough said.
If you were granted a wish and could wish for anything - besides more wishes and more genies - what would you wish for and why?
I'd wish to eliminate any further anxiety. It would be a wonderful feeling to go on each day without anything to worry about. It would be similar to the movie "Office Space," but it would be a lot better. I just hate it when I'm starting off doing something new and anxiety kicks in because I don't want to mess up. That's what happened when I was training to become a Nurse. When I was working in Brigham and Women's Hospital - the place I had my clinicals - I would constantly be overcome by anxiety where I would physically see my arm and hand shake. It had gotten that bad in which I eventually dropped out of the major because I didn't feel confident in my abilities. With that wish, it probably would have kept me in the field and given me more confidence in my abilities.
What is your favorite video game or series and why?
I'm going to have to go with the Bioshock series! Kevin Levine - the man who wrote the stories for both Bioshock 1 and Bioshock Infinite - is an absolute genius in my opinion, and twice he made me put down my controller and take a second to contemplate what the hell had just happened at pivotal points in the game. The two worlds of Rapture and Columbia are just so intricate in my opinion, and I've always been really fond of the combat system involving the supernatural power of the Plasmids. The games were truly one of a kind in my opinion.

Who is your favorite video game character and why?
I've got a three way tie: Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite, Ringabel from Bravely Default, and John Marston from Red Dead Redemption. Elizabeth is probably one of the most well designed characters that I've ever experienced in my video game history. The way she reacts with her environment and Booker, as well as the emotions that she portrays is absolutely stunning in my opinion. Ringabel is....well if you played the game, Ringabel haha. He's such a womanizer and hopeless romantic that you can only laugh whenever he speaks. He sort of reminds me of myself to be honest. Lastly, John Marston's back story is one of my favorites. The fact that he must hunt down his old gang in the hopes of saving his family is wonderful, but also the ending of the game leaves you in utter shock. I won't reveal it in case people who haven't played it yet might think of picking it up, but my god...I just didn't see it coming.
What would you say is your dream vacation?
Italy! As I am mainly Italian and my family originated from there, I really want to go there at some point in my life. Italy has such a rich culture that I just want to be able to get a taste of it at some point. I was actually really upset a few years ago because my parents went to Italy without my brother and I and came back with all of these stories that only fueled my desire to go there one day.
Who is your favorite artist/song?
It honestly changes from week to week. One week it will be the Arctic Monkeys, another week it will be The Black Keys, the following week it will be The Kooks. However as of late, I've been really getting into Gotye, Michael Franti, Eric Hutchinson, and Tim McMorris. Yes, I know Gotye has that "good" song "Somebody I Used to Know," but you should definitely check out the rest of the "Making Mirrors" album, as there are some really good songs on there; I've currently been having their song "In Your Light" on repeat due to it's upbeatness. Michael Franti is also just completely amazing with the music he pumps out, as a lot of it is incredibly upbeat - check out "I'm Alive," which is promptly displayed in my profile as of now. Eric Hutchinson I saw live just a few days ago which is why my iPod has been playing that for awhile now. Tim McMorris = "Overwhelmed." You've probably heard it before, but I think it's quite adorable.

What would you say was your favorite TV or cartoon to watch as a kid?
Considering I watched a lot of cartoons when I was younger, there are so many that I could list. However, the two I would have to go with that are my absolute favorites are Hey Arnold on Nickelodeon and Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends on Cartoon Network. Both are hilariously funny in their own rights; I loved all the personalities that the characters in Hey Arnold had - Gerald <3 - and the imagination that Foster's Home portrayed in each and every episode was staggering, also helping me to embrace my own inner child in the process.
Outside of PokeCommunity, what are your favorite hobbies? What interests you?
Besides always looking for awesome new music constantly and playing video games, I do a lot of things! I like to bike a lot, as well as play pickup soccer with my friends whenever I get the chance. It keeps me in pretty good shape considering all the crap that I've been eating while working at Dunkin Donuts lately (although I haven't really been eating there as of late which is always good!) I also really like to produce stipple art, and while I haven't really had much time as of late to produce more pieces I've thoroughly enjoyed the experience! If you'd like to see some finished projects, you can check out the Art Bloggity of this blog or go to El Heroe's Stippling Nook here on PC! I'm also really into volunteering. Whether it's at the senior homes making breakfast for them or playing games with underprivileged kids that will teach them how to be role models in their communities, I thoroughly enjoy giving back to community after everything that other people have given to me.
Want to give a shoutout to a fellow PCer?
The Thank You series was actually my way of giving out shoutouts, but there actually was one other member that I wanted to give a shoutout to that embarrassingly enough I accidentally missed: Dakota. Dipu by far is one of the funniest guys I've ever met on this site and was such an awesome Moderator in the time that I've known him. He's always so laid back and care free on this site that I've almost adopted that as my policy and am trying to have a "have fun" approach with it like he did. He's just an amazing person in general and I'm really happy that I've met him.
And that's it for entry #100! Like I said at the beginning, I'll be answer any questions you want to ask me; just comment below and I'll answer them! And again, thank you all for your awesome support for these first 100 entries. It could not have been possible without y'all. Keep staying lovely everyone <3
