I've never worked in the food industry.. seems like a pretty stressful job to me @_@

I did work at McDonald's before but conflicts with school and work forced me to quit. I had about 2 hours to get ready for work after school and I'd reach there pretty much dead tired.
That is how I felt when I got home from work and tried to work on school stuff. I never really had a problem going from school to work and being tired though.

It's not really any stressful then anything else, or at least when I was washing dishes it wasn't too bad for the most part. It does get stressful at times though when you are doing multiple things and you don't have time to get anything done. Hostesses for instance do almost nothing expect look pretty and sit people, so I wouldn't exactly call their job stressful.

I guess so.. but she's not technically in the food industry, is she? :/ I consider that like.. something like hospitable services.. like a bellboy or greeter at a hotel.

I get stressed out and tired everyday, and I don't even have a job yet Dx

I don't think I'd like to work at a fast food restaurant... maybe a nice bookstore or something like that >_<

The hostess is part of the company, which happens to be a restaurant that servers food. Although I don't think hostesses handles food, which requires a food handlers permit. So I suppose a hostess would be considered hospitality service. I suppose the same with apply to the cashier as well.

I used to be like that, and then I finished school, so now I have absolutely nothing to do during the day, so getting a job is the next option.

I've known people who work in Fast Food restaurants, and it's really disgusting or something (I wouldn't know I haven't heard many stories). I'd like to get at least a part time job in retail or something.

I may be in luck in terms of work! I put in a resume at the local video store, and the lady there who is super nice was talking to me about availability and stuff, and she recommended I fill out a special applicant form as well as my resume which includes my availability, and she said she'd put through the good word for me!

Congrats on the lucky gig opportunity.
If When I get a job I would want one in some big company or something, where I'm always busy and not sitting there doing nothing.

A guy can only sit around doing nothing for a certain amount of time.

Well if there is no such thing as luck or fate, then I made an amazing impression and obviously have proven myself worthy of the position.
sounds awesome when you put it that way

Skill. Pure skill.

Seriously, the chances of metronome being based entirely off luck is a ridiculous assumption to make. brick'd

Dude are you serious? I would kill for a job like that. Well, not kill, that was a figure of speech, but still that job would be amazing. Being paid to do nothing is like my dream job.
I guess it would be different if I were only sitting around doing nothing for a few hours, but when you have to sit there and literally do nothing at all for 8 hours, it get's irritating.

I've had bad experiences with Work Experience. D:

The difference between sitting there doing nothing in the instance Alternative was speaking about, and the sitting there doing nothing BUT getting paid makes a pretty significant difference...
