We don't have huge lakes boosting our snow totals anywhere except up in the northeast part of the state. ^-^;;

Our biggest storms usually have to have come up from the Gulf as rainstorms. Or have to have been absolute monsters out West to make it through the Rockies intact. ^_~

I live in the snowbelt, so we get a ton of snow. Snow days are frequent, which is always a plus!

I think I had maybe 4 snow days growing up, and it wasn't for a lack of snow, as most other districts around mine would always close, but they were slightly more rural districts that didn't have superintendents that only drove on paved roads to get to their office. I can think of 10 times off the top of my head where we were still in school despite there being 4 inches of snow on the ground. We almost had to go to school on an insanely cold day until the state governor mandated that all schools in the state were to be closed because of the cold. It was -30 F (-34C) out that day, and I think our high was -20 F (-29 C). o_o;;

We have an army of snowplows ready in pretty much every area here in Minnesota, so, yeah, we don't really feel the effects of snowstorms. XD;

Actually, right now the temperatures here are just about perfect. Not too hot, not too cold. If only we wouldn't get those rain showers that like to pop up out of nowhere and catch us off guard :/
