I like some of them quite a bit, but the rest of the bad apples almost spoil the whole bunch. Especially the Otomaru line, that line should have never existed. EVER.

And it isn't that hard to separate character and creativity. Like I mentioned before, Bronzong. It is certainly creative in origin, but look at it. It has no personality whatsoever. Like it's expected of a bronze bell of course, but still.

They're loosely based on real creatures, so if you dislike those designs then you should dislike the real creatures, yus?

Ok, so the modified car example probably wasn't the best way to explain things. But the point still stands, something can still look good/creative without actually being enjoyable. To use Kura's example with Rhyperior, it's fugly and off-putting because they tried to add too much to it.

I don't like a lot of 5th gen Pokémon, but for every one I really dislike, there are some I absolutely adore. ;~; I love love love love Banipucchi, Hitomoshi, and Bachuru.

Same with 4th gen. I hated a lot of the designs (mostly the evolutions, though I understand a lot of them got evolutions for stat reasons) but... can I say I hated 4th gen? No! It brought me my top two favourite Pokémon and I think it's worth it if only for that. :> In fact, I don't think any of my favourites are from first gen anymore. And only one or two are from second gen. I like newer gens. n_n

I think my least favourite part of Black was being unable to use older Pokémon. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing since it meant I actually got to use the starter I liked best (Tsutaja) but skldjfls no Cherrim. ;~; But yeah, if you hate the new Pokémon, hop on wifi and find someone who'll trade your old favourites to you and you're good to go.

It's a Pokémon game. It's not crazy-different from the first four main games but if you like the general formula of Pokémon, you're gonna like this too.

But many of them were very forgettable. The good-to-crap ratio is heavily leaning towards the latter.

It has an ice beard and Blaziken like tufts of hair. It's too loosely based off of a polar bear is the problem with it.

I confess I haven't seen much of the region, bar a handful of screenshots. It certainly looks nice from what i've seen, but it's another region. Another region with towns, cities, caves, oceans, forests and dungeons etc. So no, in that regard, I wouldn't.

And definitely not for the older Pokemon, I have the older generation games for that :3

I think that's probably another problem I have, my interest in the series has seriously dwindled since Crystal ):

HG/SS are the only newer games i've actually wanted to play, and even then it was only because they're based off of G/S.

I agree with this. The 4th gen designs were kind of bad, beccause a lot of the Pokèmon were etremely ugly. I am not joking. The region was great, a nd I remember playing with my friends in the underground, what good memories those were. The newer gens are the ones I got more involved in, while I basically didn't play Pokèmon before the 3rd gen. Oh no, no Cherrim? How unfortunate that is. I can hack it for you I'm sure you'll find someway to get your Cherrim ;hearts
