So people back then survived longer despite there being no vaccines or medical achievements?

Sure, I believe that.

Let me explain something.

Back then, everyone was super religious. It was still the beginning of the world, you know. And everyone wanted to die and go to heaven. Screw real life, what's that compared to heaven?

But, the problem was back then you couldn't be too sure what path to follow. Also, since you lived so long for all you could know you could have been doing 900 years of destruction.

So when Noah heard God's voice, he was as happy as hell. All he had to do was listen to that voice, and he, and almost everyone in his family would be guaranteed heaven.

So yeah, he was more than happy to do 900 years of service, compared to eternal bliss.

I'd like to live forever, but barring that I'd settle for a couple thousand years. Even five hundred would be pretty nice.
Well, you'd better get fit and all.. I wouldn't know how it would be past 120 years. Heck, in 200 years you could be a walking skeleton.

You just reassured me Noah was hallucinating.

urk, did you not read my post, KT? How much suffering it is depends on how quickly they age. If 900-year-old Noah was no different to an octogenarian in our day, then I can't really call that suffering, considering for the greatest part of his life, he was very much healthy.

At the expense of almost everyone else on Earth of course. They reproduced through incest if only his family made it on the ark.

Of course, this is considering biblical historical accuracy, but I suppose that's up to interpretation.

Sure, and rocks respond to me while I'm talking to them.

Religious jokes aren't that bad. It's when it borders on insulting the religion outright (ie. not just making jokes about pedo priests or cheap rabbi) that it gets bad.

Oh wait it didn't happen that way.

Looking at my notes his students (the last Prophet's) pooled all the writings they got from him (It took years, there's one verse in the Qu'ran that takes a to complete), and they got this information because the Archangel Gabriel visited the last Prophet one month a year, and recited a verse, and he recorded it.

That's how the Qu'ran was made.

Wow... the word 'pokemon' was highlighted for one of those advertisements, and it was an advertisement for intel... wtf does that have to do with pokemon?

Also, I've never played fire emblem either, although roy and ike are both awesome. (no love for marth.)

Fire Emblem (ファイアーエムブレム Faiā Emuburemu) is a fantasy tactical role-playing video game franchise developed by Intelligent Systems (specifically Shouzou Kaga), the maker of Advance Wars (which shares some of Fire Emblem's strategic elements), and published by Nintendo. The Fire Emblem series is well-known for its innovation and for being one of the first Eastern styletactical role-playing games, with a strong emphasis on Western forms of medieval folklore. The series is also renowned for having deeply developed characters, as well as the fact that most units' death—or defeat in battle—is permanent in the game until the end of the playthrough

Since I am too lazy to explain it I will just let Wikipedia sum up the gist of what Fire Emblem is. Marth>Roy. And since I never played Brawl I really can't say anything about Ike.

Fire Emblem is a cool game. It's an awesome kinda strategy. You can be strategy...or you can be grind and win the game. It's good.
