Haha yep. I'm surprised I haven't broken anythin though, as there is plenty of slippery ice around here for instance.

THough I would want to break my arm in the coolest way if it had to be like that.

"I broke my arm when I attempted to punch someone in their rock hard chest, defending against an innocent puppy." or something like that

I learn Italian on my own, and it's pretty easy if you know Spanish. (in fact, most of the words in Italian are the same as Spanish). I always want to learn French though.

I just know French and a bit of Japanese. :/ I never learnt to speak either of them though. I can get by in French if I must but with Japanese I can only listen and understand. I doubt I could ever converse. XD;

It's sad because I used to love French all through school but taking a few courses of it in university has brought me to hate it, lol.

Anything involving a pot of boiling water is bad if you're doing it one-handed. xD; Glad you made it through alive!

Lightning had a duble post.

I only know English. And I have only broke my arm.

Don't worry, you should be able to apply for extenuating circumstances, where you can normally get a computer to do it, or someone to write the answers, and/or extra time.

I know this because a part of my job as Chairman at my University faculty is to help people who have problems like this! XD

I'm learning Japanese and German right now while keeping up with my French. XD; There are things about all three languages that I love - German words are close to English and French words, making learning vocab a breeze; learning hiragana, katakana, and kanji is a challenge, and speaking French with a Québecois accent is a lot of fun. :3

If you literally translated it, it would be something like: I go car, I go car before, I go car after (the latter two being the tense provision)

That actually makes a lot of sense~

Oh, that sounds like a nice position! Thing is, this test requires me to actually cook in a kitchen. I don't think I have a written portion, but even if there was, I wouldn't worry because I am right-handed. I broke my left wrist.

It is a nice position. I do it along side my education too, so it is good. Nice to have on my CV too.
Ahh, fair enough. You might be able to get extra time then, so it is fine.

Oh, I hope so. It wouldn't be fair because a majority of cooking requires the use of both hands.

Don't worry about it.
What I would advise you to do, is to speak to your student services or people at the top to make them aware, if they aren't already, so you don't turn up and they have no idea what you are on about.

It kind of is. Ichiban noodles. They're almost done, but I need to drain the water. That is the dangerous part.

Edit: Did it! Without killing myself, anyways. It's hard typing with one hand...

I did that when I was about 10 with a large bowl of ramen noodles. The water level was really high and I suck at balancing, so I scalded both of my hands, so they were pink for the rest of the day n_n

It is never pleasant when you scold your hand, I have accidentally done it a few times. :/

Ughhhh. My flatmates are watching Skins and it is such a stupidly cringe worthy program. It really isn't how teenage life is.

Dude, if you want complex languages, take up Icelandic. You'll ADORE conjugating verbs after you try learning weak vs strong noun declension with three genders, multiple SUBGROUPS of genders, and four cases.. nevermind irregular adjectives and verbs out the wazoo. That's on my bucket list, just, yanno, not now. :D

I admire those who learn Oriental languages. I just can't get past the plethora of characters and the slight differences that make such a significant change in meaning. I can read Cyrillic - Russian takes the cake for efficient sentence structure - and some Farsi, but I'm intimidated as hell by Oriental script.

My German is rotting along with my Spanish, but I do speak Norwegian fairly well. Took French in elementary school and that pretty much squashed any desire to pick it up again. But what's awesome about linguistics is what someone else said about Spanish & Italian - it's so cool how everything intertwines and evolves. Eg I've been able to understand some Dutch, Danish, Swedish, and even freakin' Afrikaans because they all derived from the same root.

Oh, yeah, I'm kind of a linguistics nerd. Fair warning, forth --

It's okay. I am too, although I've never taken any linguistics courses. I don't want to major in linguistics, but I would love to take a course or two about it. Languages are just so fascinating.

I love Ramen noodles they taste so good. I eat them a lot.
