You think you can compare the Nook color to the kindle?

... my dad lent me a kindle he's had for like a few years now that he never used. It all went fine until I just OPENED it to find the screen cracked.

Upon research, I did find this was a flaw with the early kindles and the covers >__>

I'mma wait a while before telling him so it at least feels like I used it a while before the kindle passed away.

You guys are speaking moonspeak to me ._. I don't know any of these places..

Fred Meyers? Holy crap! I haven't seen one of those since I was visiting my grandma in Oregon. o_O; Where do you live? XD;

On a side note, I bought my nookCOLOR today!! :DD I'm so freakin excited. I love it to death. <3
a-a- asitant admin (sorry) and a staff admin, and a super mod, talked to me this 2 weeks, omg!!
near O_____, Washington, ok i'm not sure how many O's are in WA, so xD
i was born is oregon though. Fred Meyers is awesome, though our clothes section is so confusing!

My stepdad is coming home to work (he's usualy in seatle, but now cali. to remodle our target to a super trget? adding /bigger/ grocies.

Does the staff really look so lifeless and robotic to you that it's such an honor to just make eye contact with them? o__o

nook is vastly, vastly superior to Kindle. In every way. EVERY WAY. XD;

But I may or may not be a B&N employee... soooo...
But no, legitimately, even if I wasn't an employee the nook is a better product and B&N has a better e-bookstore setup.

Either way, I'mma fan of Barnes and Noble XD

what are you guys talking about? ._.
idk
electronic reading
stores, meh

Whats a nook? oh like a kindle? but you have to pay dont ya? reg books, or libaries for me :D
god, I cant spell today

Not the first part, but I consider it the honor except mods, their *nvm, good powerful member friends

I've only got two stores within my vicinity, one of which I've not had the chance to go to, and it does look vastly bigger than the one I usually go to.

Usually, I only go for a cup of coffee and for a book from the programming shelf. But I imagine if I were ever allowed to bring my laptop, it'd be the awesomest thing ever to sip on a cup of Pumpkin latte while training on your PHP with a book and your laptop in the nice warm Startbucks in during a cold winter night ^__^

IE9 feels sorta nice

I'm gone for two hours and I'm utterly lost : S

You're almost as old of a prune as me and you still are not used to how DCC flows >__>

Barnes & Noble is the greatest everrrr!! ^______^ I love them sooo much, that's why I work in one. I could live there. Seriously. Biggest B&N fanboy ever.

There are about 20 stores within driving distance of me, I go to every single one I possibly can just to check them out. <3 Soooo cool.
You work there? Cool. Never been to one xD Dx
I swear my town is like a onestop for everything
like 10-20 gas stations
a few grocey stores, other stores, libary (who dosent)
3-5 colleges?
6? ele, 3 middle, 2 high. schools.
houses, appartments, fast food,
health places?
a few hotels

were not even that big, maybe im just saying stuff, who knows, i prob didnt list everthing anyways.

I still don't see the point in the Nook or the Kindle. I'd much rather have a real book to read, rather than read a screen. I don't like reading stuff on the computer, so I can't imagine enjoying an e-reader. :/

And you should consider it an honor to speak to the staff. We only come down to talk to the lowly members when the planets align. :3

Having multiple colleges in your city and you think it is small? Sounds to be like your town is adequate size compared to a lot of places I go to in my immediate and or surrounding area/region.

Nah, I support technology taking over our old ways. This is like saying the 'paged' book is a stupid idea and we should have stuck to the scroll XD

Who you calling lowly? >__>

Don't listen to Mork, he's just a big ol' softie once you get to know him. :3

Anyway my nook is just more convenient. :] I'll still want to collect certain books as hardcovers on my shelves, but for most of my reading I'll be using my nook. <3

Oh yes, I've always had a feeling there'd be some Charmin toiler paper inside all that rough, skin splitting Mork~

Oh don't worry, give it 10 years and hardcovers will be obsolete. They'll become an urban legend just like the floppy disk.

...

...hard...covers ...?

I have heard tell of these on the winds of myth - they tell of a once magical time where people may read without the constant pain of having to find a charging station and chronic headaches.

But I don't believe it. One container only holding the contents of just one story? Impossible. We could never have been so primitive.

I swear motivational posters are the only thing that keeps the Internet going. My flatmate downloads them and he's got thousands. I wouldn't mind but he keeps insisting that I see them all and I'm too polite to say "No thanks, I would rather shoot myself".
