Lol... quite a bit different from Doraemon...
plus the writer for Doraemon died long ago (sadly)... nothing new will come for doraemon. ;_;
 
blah... those new ones suck so much... plus the name is different now. Instead of "Ding Dong" (cantonese pronounciation though), now it's "DOR-LA-A-MON", with the other characters being "B", "C" and so on... the classical dub is just... classical *sniff sniff* Oh it's one of the only comics that I read in my entire life o.o;
 
Xiao and Shou are both "small" ^_^; just taiwan vs. china translation. And we cantonese people are too lazy and just cut out the xiao/shou ;p

Astral boy? I've never heard of that new dub before... o.o;
 
I'm not into it, but we are having dubbed episodes of that in English here on Saturdays.
The show's rather nice. It's about this robot boy who was created by someone who turned evil, who created it (or him?) after the image and memory of his son who died. I'm not sure if this is totally correct though.

oooooH. I remeber that show. I used to watch it all the time when I was a kid. I still have a few copies of laying around in my closet. I even have some of the casesstes for those casseste players in the car thingys. I stopped watching and listenting cause I got terrified when I say/heard the one where a asteroid was about to hit Earth and dingdong was flying in space and crashing around. Then scary voices started talking and I just got freaked out. I was scared of asteroids and toher space stuff for like...until this moment I'm typing this. Now that I think about it..it seems funny. *goes digging for old vidoes*

AstroBoy is just a robot wearing black undies. His voice sounds like the voice that plays May's lil brother in Pokemon.

Doraemon is such an awesome show! It's the only kid's show I got to watch back in Hong Kong ^-^ But too bad it's rarely on... ;_;

*wonders if there are any doraemon scans or comics left on the internet that's in a language he can understand*
 
Do you have a scanner? Maybe you could post some up for frosty as a?. present for frosty day! O.O;
 
I can't stand to watch Astro Boy...sure it's Japanese but that doesn't make it anime really...it deviates too much from regular anime style for me to like it...you know, those bulbous cysts that are supposed to be the people's noses and the features that are far too exaggerated and all that...otherwise it's quite pretty, but it's not for me *shrugs*
