We're singing "When Your Smiling" and I look so stupid! It was before I got my braces. My teeth look awful! And the singing as a whole is pretty bad too. I can't wait to find myself singing alone...

In fifth grade we had to sing many patrotic American songs because that was the year of the 9/11 attacks. (I'm so lucky that my cousin retired from working in the Twin Towers he could've died.)
So when we were singing it, it sounded good. But when I saw the video that my dad video taped. It was horrible.

Oh yeah, that year I was in 8th grade and I we played "Stars and Stripes Forever" in band. We probably played other patriotic songs but I just don't remember.

AHH! I saw my solo! I sang the second verse to the Itaian song "Volare" which means to fly in case anyone was wondering. Right as my solo approached somebody outside drove by on a motorcycle! That must've been a sign! It wasn't as bad as I thought. My voice was really soft so I couldn't really hear it well. You could see the expression on my face searching for the words to the song. I can't believe I almost forgot the words! This was my first year of singing solos so it was probably my first time too. Eventually i had sung the songs so many times I knew them all by heart so easily! I also just saw myself read a poem about mothers. I don't remember that. And now I'm singing "Sicilia Bedda" with a small group of select people I guess. And we're doing this weird thing with tambourines and spinning in circles. I'm afraid to watch the dances that are coming up soon! It's really "entertaining!"

I can't remember any songs except "The Pledge of Allegiance". Probaly it's because I'd have to do it everyday in school. And I don't even think it's a song. XD
First time singing solos? That's going to be hard. When I sang when I was little, the first time was always the best.

The Pledge of Allegiance isn't a song. But actually... it is! In last year's finale at my dance recital we danced to some guy singing the pledge. It was quite funny actually. Not the song but the dance. But this year's is far worse... last year my sister's class came out and did hand motions for the pledge. Then my class came out and danced to it with flags. And then the senior class (I was only in junior tap last year) came out and did a dance to "I'm Proud to be an American." It came together quite well in the end though. This year's... well I hope it comes together! And I hope my sister's class is not in the finale with us this year!

I bet it was hard for me to sing that solo for the first time. I was so shy back then. Well at least at school. After school activities always seemed to bring me out of my shell I guess. I forgot the words... well I almost forget them in my solo. But I must've gotten used to it. I had to sing solo for the Colombus day parades and at other events we had to go to. Never again!

I can't imagine some singing the Pledge of Allegiance. :P
I think I sang "I'm proud to be an American" in assebly also.
But I though it was called "God bless the USA" XD
Or maybe they were two different songs.
That was a pretty good song, that I actually sang well on.

It'd be wierd having them in the Finale right?

OMG, singing on parades? Wow you got guts. :P

They are both the same song. Just I prefer calling it "Proud to be an American." When the seniors danced to it my friend got to sign it, as in sign language. It was really cool. And I definitely do not want my sister in the finale with me! I have no idea why she was in it last year. I think my teacher just wanted to torture me! And it wasn't the first time she stuck our classes together like that...

Wow... I just remembered I have a civics test tomorrow... on something. I should probably study for it. I can't risk failing another test. My grade is already just barely hanging on to a C- and I just can't allow myself to get a D. Well I guess it's time to study for it...

Finally, the last 2 weeks of school. ALl that's left is a project I've held off on for a few months and finals. other than that, parties dances and late nights.

Anyone know what kind of car they want or their dream car?
 
umm...ya rgiht... (freak ;._.) well i just got back from my last day of 10th grade! bring on 11th...man why were all the 9th graders crying? The senoirs shuould be crying not the 9th graders, they have 3 years left.
 
I wish that I could teleport, too! It would be so nice. ^_^; I don't really want to drive... Bleh.

And the school here is getting out today. I'm glad it's finally summer! It's just going to be so hot this year. I'm already burning up, and I have a fan on in my room, my window is open, and I'm in shorts and a short-sleeved shirt. o_o
 
I have a three day weekend *JUMPS FOR JOY* Thank goodness for Memorial Day. Does anybody else have Monday off?

I have a 3 day weekend as well. I'm so full...shortened day today at school and after school there was food everywhere. I ate 2 burgers and some candy. I don't think the candy mixed well with the burger.
 
Yeah it's a long weekend! I don't go back to work until Thursday at least! And I left early today too. The reason I left early is cuz my dad usually picks me up Friday but he's in NC this weekend and my mom has to bring my sister to dance for 2 hours. And I'm also going to the school dance tonight since it's a casual dance. It should be fun. But my friend just told me that she's not going! She said it was family problems... but I'm not sure what she means by that exactly. But if she doesn't feel like going she shouldn't go... she'll just get everyone else all depressed too. I wonder what's wrong...

I'm ztarting to worry about thiz headache I've had though +.+ I've had a bad headache zince lazt friday when I got a cold and it ztill hazn't gone away, and my voice ztill hazn't come back either ;.;
I hope I get better by my birthday.

Hey guezz what!! I got my earz peirced yezterday! I told all my friendz I would do it the day before zchool let out and I did ^_^ And I almozt jumped out of the car on the way! 0.o The firzt ear didn't hurt at all but the zecond one...oww...!
All the beauticianz were in the door way watching too 0.o It waz really weird.

Have fun at your dance, Snowangel! I juzt went to one recently ^_^ It waz okay but I did zomething that I feel really bad about and the muzic ztunk -,-

BTW, have I mizzed anything important lately? I know I havn't exactly been very active X.x

You're out of school now? Lucky... I still have 3 weeks til my last day. So it's really 2 weeks of classes! And then four days of finals! Hopefully it'll pass by fast...

You got your ears peirced? That's cool. Mine are pierced but I hate it. I just want to holes to close up. It was done as an infant so it wasn't my choice in the first place... plus when I was younger my ears were sensitive and I could only wear 14KT gold. But eventually I could wear anything.

I'll try to have a good time. Which may be hard since my best friend is depressed about something and isn't going now. She wouldn't tell me what exactly was wrong. I hope she and her family are alright. But I'll shall try to have fun with my other friends! I hate getting dressed up so for this dance I'm just wearing jean capris and a tank top. It's a luau themed dance...
