I start school on Monday. I used to start school on the second Monday of August which would have been August 13th but it was finally changed to the last Monday of August.
As for the subject of blocked websites, nearly everything is blocked in my school. Most of the time, they are blocked for no reason. When I do a research project for school, I prefer doing the research at home where nothing is blocked. Only problem is that I get sidetracked from my project really easily by going to other sites. >.>

You see... the thing about starting school a week later is that you get most of your holidays shortened. Like this year... there's not even going to be a spring break. All I get is a shortly extended Easter holiday and less of Christmas break. Not to mention a lot less days off school. Before I got two days off each month, now it'll only be once a month or every two monthes.

Our calender was changed this year. We only get Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving, which my dad hates. I'm not sure about our Christmas vacation, though.

You only get two days off school for the whole year?! Wow... never heard of that kind of situation at school before. But I'm sure they won't take away from your Christmas holidays.

You make it sound like you don't get weekends off...
I have no idea when I'm going back, though I'm guessing it'll be the 4th or the 11th.

...If you start school on the 11th, I'd consider you the luckiest dude ever. You'd get an extra week of summer compared to when I'm goin back. >_>;
@Dawg: Least you get 2 days for Thanksgiving. I think last year we only had one day just for Thanksgiving. >_>;

I was fine with our school calender, but people had to complain and now it's all weird.
Plus, now it's state law that we can't start school before August 27th. >_>

I wouldn't mind the extra week even if it meant a couple more school days get tacked on somewhere; I've yet to finish my summer homework.

Goodness... Over here teachers don't bother giving summer homework. I think they're too lazy or something. Look on the bright side though, Simon. You always have to almighty power of knowledge found in the internet. You can honestly find answers and help with anything on Google.

I always used to get answers and help off Google for my science homework. The teacher always thought I was good at science... Until the exams and tests came and I barely passed. XD

It was the opposite for me, oddly enough.
I wouldn't do that great in class, but when tests came up, I did really good.
Without cheating. It's weird. XD
I didn't even pass my last exams. They were the most important as well. I have always been good in lessons but during tests I never seem to do well at all. I am having to retake my last year so I will be at school an extra year before I can go to University.
