We have a Reading Test Program on the computer in my school called A.R.(Accelerated Reader)
 
Accelerated Reader is a complete and utter waste of time. Another cancer of the American educational system right there.

I had that or something really similar to it, from the sounds of things, in 6th grade. It was okay. I might've turned to Harry Potter for points; for some reason, Harry Potter books were worth a ton of points while others weren't. I wonder why? o_o

I imagine it's for lazy teachers. :P

Reminds me of the reading test program we have, to see at what level we read. That feels like a waste of time. But then again, it's because I always ace it. I've never had a book in my suggested categories that sounded decent... ever. I always got The Good Earth. Except for this year, I think I didn't get any at all. D: And I had one of the highest scores in the class. I liked that.

EDIT: I have all slacker-like classes now. They're really easy, except maybe for Math, it depends on what we're doing. o_o; Even German's easy, and I'm in 201.
 
I'm still wondering just what would possess a school district to include J. K. Rowling as part of its language arts curriculum. C. S. Lewis or J. R. R. Tolkien would be more worthy additions.

Yeah, his short stories are definately good, but some of the hoaxes he wrote are extremely dull.

What get's me about Poe is that whole thing with the bottle of, I think, rum on his grave every year on his birthday.

They don't even give you the scores. They only give you a grade. To get the scores you have to phone them.

We just have a big exam at the end of the year for each subject. And for each exam there's about 4-6 papers to cover... really laborious.

That's really bad then...

We've only had one proper exam, but we'll definately get some next year for TEE.
 
no, because atm, i am not in year 12, i am year 11.

to get into year 12, i need to pass my preliminary exams.

i just hope that i pass, or i will be really annoyed.


if i don't pass, then i will just go to tafe, and get a job working as a casual.

if you are in australia, you should know what tafe is.

bah....i would never wanna go to uni.

the reason y i wanna pass these prelims, and get a hsc, is cos i wanna go into a special uni for electronic musicians (yes i can be a gangsta and like electronic music as well)

y do u intend on going to uni for?
 
I want to go to university because to like read the news and that... I'd need to go to university, and I already know which university I want to go to anyways, just got to wait a couple more years.
