You forgot Argentina, they seem to have been favored here as well here given their opponents in Group F are quite low-ranked (Bosnia, Iran and Nigeria), one of which is making its first-ever WC appearance. But yeah, definitely agree that France and Russia got easy draws.

These matchups are a sign they are favoring certain countries to pass, while making others look certain to fail. I noticed a pattern with Australia's group matches at their last two World Cups (2006 and 2010) where they won against one team in the group, lost to another (in both cases with the loss it was against their powerhouse opponent) and drew with the third. I'd not be surprised if the pattern is broken this time around given how tough Spain and the Netherlands are.

And wow I like how this DCC suddenly got two subjects going at the same time. Something definitely new here imo.

Anyway, back to footie. I see the pattern you're talking about. However, I due think this year Spain and Netherlands being in the same group is pure chance, as group C is a complete fluke, with no outstanding teams. And even then, something tells me due to the rut we've been in politically, economically, and so forth, that we're being given a free pass as a sort of sedative for the masses during next summer.
 
So..does anyone else here listen to Swedish music? xD It's pretty good. Although I do like Kpop and Jrock better o-o Japanese music is so pretty to me. I have no issue with listening to music in languages that I don't know. :3
 
Yaaaay we got Spain... hurray ugh.

I hate it how we have this confidence that we clearly dont need to have. Hell i think we get stomped by Spain, Chile and Australia.

The Netherlands is nothing anymore compared to 2010, our defence is rubbish.

I do 8D Swedish indie/stuff is nice. I don't like Jrock or Kpop though.
 
Belgium's team are filled with highly-rated youngsters. I would say Netherlands got an easy qualifying group.

Spain has still better quality overall than we ever can dream of.
Chile, never did we beat them

And then it doesnt matter if we beat Australia, cause we would end up 3rd.
Well i saw Belgium - Netherlands, and that team of youngsters stomped us completely.

I listen to Sweedish rap sometimes. Though it's only one artist and I have no idea what he's saying (he does rap in English as well).

Sweden sure is famous for stuff like Volvo, Ikea and its great musical talent. It wasn't great hearing Sweden in the news all the time when the whole Wikileaks saga was going on because the guy behind the site is wanted there for sexual assault questioning.

But hey, at least we are now hearing the good side of it again for now.
 
I love Sweden for their furniture. My bookcase, bed, and drawers are all ikea, lasting over 5 years and 3 moves. I wanna know why the hell some people loathe Ikea, and complain about how bad the quality is, when its been so good for me.

There are a lot of different types of Asians that aren't Japanese, so I would say so. If they aren't Japanese by heritage and are obsessed with Japanese culture, I would say that they are weeaboos. And even if they are Japanese, and are an American-Asian household, I would say that there's a number of them that are generally raised in a North American culture, rather than traditional Japanese culture when they are younger. Though, all of the Asians I know here in America are strongly influenced by their heritage.

I don't like it that song.

I actually love how cute the name "Ikea" sounds tbh. I remember when I was a wee chibi and I went to an Ikea store and they had a huge ball pit for the kids. Awwwww....

Swedish rap? I've never listened to that. But then again I don't really care for rap. o.o
