Arryn
Tulip teleports away and she breathes in a sigh of relief. I was almost going to sing to her, let my dark move knock her out…
If everything does go according to plan, then Arryn will be back by morning, safe and sound.
Silph Co. isn't too far from the park, it turns out. Arryn stares at the large building from the parks' border, considering the very worst that could happen.
Death, what happened to Gray could very well happen to me… All reasons that she should turn around and go back to the apartment to sleep for the next eight hours. Yet the mere possibility she can look that scum Giovanni in the face clouds her judgement.
Ignoring Shadows desperate look, Arryn jumps the shrubs that act as a fence and strides towards Silph Co. with every intention of confronting the very man that made her what she is.
I've never killed anyone, only did what I had to for survival and still, people treat me as a monster. It's his fault.
She pulls the doors open and marches into the front lobby, looking at her first targets that act as guards by the elevator. The receptionist is nowhere in sight.
"You two," Arryn addresses them stonily, grabbing one by the collar. "Where's Giovanni?"
The two men that can't be much older than her share a look. She's about to snap at them when the one she's holding glances upwards.
A security camera is trained down on her.
With her free hand, Arryn forms an icicle that hovers in her palm and flicks it towards the camera. It penetrates the lens.
"You're one of them…" the other guard says in disgust. "If you don't leave, we'll –"
"If you don't tell me where Giovanni is, that lens will be your eye…" she threatens, holding her hand up for good measure.
The elevator dings and Arryn looks, hopeful as the doors part – more guards, about six of them, exit the lift with their Pokeballs at the ready.
"This is what you buzzed in for?" The man with bright red hair questions incredulous. "A little girl?"
Shadow snarls at the man in warning.
"And her pet… has Silph Co. really sunk this far?"
Arryn abandons the guard she had been holding by shoving him towards Shadow whom pounces on her prey, teeth bared inches from his face.
The man with red hair cracks his knuckles, pocketing his Pokeball. "Are you here to sell cookies? Because, I have to say, our fridge is –"
"Stolen," Arryn interrupts. "My friends stole everything you have and left most of you with your life." The man waits, calculative. "If you don't tell me what I want to know then I'll finish their job." She's talking a big game for someone who has never killed before.
He smirks, "and what is it you want to know princess?"
Arryn stares him directly in his cold, black eyes. "Where is Giovanni?"
There's no reply for a long moment that Arryn prepares herself to follow through on her threat when he finally says, "he's in Johto, by now. You just missed him." He snaps his fingers as if it's a shame.
Now what, genius?
Her indecisiveness must show as he laughs, booming and mocking. He grabs her hands, yanking her forward and holding her in a vice like grip. "Take her Absol out."
Shadow springs to action, ripping the man beneath her to pieces. Arryn struggles in the man's grasp – with both her hands constricted, there's nothing she can do. She has never given battle commands to her Absol as Shadow does what she wants anyway, so Arryn doesn't have much fear when the men suddenly rush at her.
"I bet you're really regretting your decision right now…" the man hisses right in her face and because she's stubborn, she doesn't look away.
"Hm, what's this?" His fingers wrap around her shard of ice and fear quickly overcomes her. He notices her tense up and smiles cruelly. "Must be important…" he yanks the shard, snapping the tie around her neck.
"No!" She shouts as he chucks it behind him at the guard, still by the elevator.
Shadow continues to maul the men behind her and Arryn feels the control inside her snap completely. The one thing that could stop me from being a murderer… she glares at the men, rears her head back and bashes her forehead against his nose.
The man releases her in shock, hand flying to nurse his probably broken nose. He'll be saved for last.
Arryn spins around to help Shadow that has now finished off her third kill. She grabs one woman that charges for her Absol and let's an ice dagger form right under her chin. She tosses the woman to the ground, dead.
The two fight side by side, dispatching every person that comes their way until all that remains is him.
"Easy," Arryn cautions Shadow whom is crouching, ready to pounce. "This one is mine."
Ice daggers materialise in her hands at will, her new favourite weapon.
The man glares at her, snapping his nose into place painfully.
"You should be thanking Giovanni, you little bitch," he grunts. "Look at what you can do… don't you like to be feared?"
"Are you saying you're afraid?" She taunts.
He chuckles, "impressed, maybe… but afraid? You'll have to give me a better reason."
Fine by me.
She lunges for him, daggers in hand – he catches her wrists, holding them tightly and slamming her on the floor beneath him, never loosening his hold.
Arryn squirms beneath him when he straddles her waist, twisting her wrists so the daggers point to her neck.
Shadow whines.
"He's mine," Arryn repeats with a groan, the pressure of his body making it hard to speak.
Waiting for the opportune moment, Arryn, using all the energy she had left wrenches her arms upwards; the tip of her dagger scrapes her cheek, deep enough to leave a scar. Seriously, when will I stop getting them? As she had before, Arryn slams her forehead into his face and he reels backwards, enough so that she plunges the daggers into his chest.
Arryn lays back on the ground, collecting her breathing. She laughs but it sounds broken with her chest still feeling the pressure.
Shadow licks at the wound on her cheek and Arryn reaches up, eyes closed to ruffle her fur.
"It wasn't a completely useless trip," she sighs and pushes herself up into a sitting position, looking at the carnage around her. "We know where Giovanni is…"
Shadow looks at her as if she's lost the plot and also looks around them at the blood stained marble floor.
