Rikki narrowed her eyes when she heard Alex speak. "We're here on a mission. Don't make me your butt back to the Darkness Kingdom." Rikki threatened, unfolding her crossed arms.
She unfolded her wings, letting them out to their full span. She lifted her eyes to sky, and let her wings beat. Moments later, she had been hoisted up into the air. The night time air was cool, and up in the sky, the scent of the humans was less noticeable, something she was quite grateful for. She looked around, giving a quick check on both of her companions, then beat her wings faster, letting her glide.
She scanned the skies, watching the clear, star filled space above her. None of the Angels, Light or Dark, were anywhere in her line of vision, so she turned her head down to the streets. It was late, so she didn't expect anyone to be up and about. She'd learned that humans slept during the night, and were active during the hours in which the sun was out.
She had never seen the sun, considering she lived in the Kingdom of Darkness. She knew that the important parts of the mission were given to Rosie and Alex. She was a little jealous of this fact, but she also knew why. She was too rash. They were given tasks that took patience and well thought out responses, both of which she didn't acquire.
Sighing, she angled her wings down, aiming her so she was flying towards the ground. When her feet hit the pavement, she coiled her wings back, letting them blend into the darkness, hiding them from the naked, human eye. She observed her surroundings. She was standing in an alley. She leaned against the wall, looking up at the sky, thinking out where to go, what to do, from here on out.
