Day of the Dead!

    Do you Celebrate Day of the Dead?
    If your Spanish then you probably known about this holiday.
    October is called "Month of the Dead" in Mexico.
    Instead of Halloween Mexicans/Spanish celebrate day of the dead.
    On day of the Dead they decorate the graves of their ancestors.
    This holiday is a huge holiday in Mexico.
    Of Course there are parades and Huge Meals there too.



    Talk about 'Day of The Dead' here!
     
    Bah, there's way too many holidays nowerdays. I only celebrate Christmas really. Not that I'm a Christian, but only fools turn down free gifts and the chance to hang shiny stuff from trees.

    Well i never heard of it either the only things i know that's in Oct are Thanksgiving,My b-day XD and Halloween

    Day of the Dead is actually 2 days.


    Day 1 is October 31st
    Day 2 is November 1st

    Technically It is 2 months long.

    So Maybe this should be called "The Months of the Dead".

    It lasts for 1 month and 1 day.

    But only it is celebrated for 2 days.


    I love this holiday.
    I get dough with candy in it.YUM!
     
    I'm half Mexican...but my family doesn't celebrate Day of the Dead...I much prefer Holloween...of course Day of the Dead is a Catholic holiday, so I have to go to church that evening -.-

    creepy...Kayleigh has the same birthday as my brother (oct.23) and my birthday is in May (like she said her brother's B-day is)
    I think Kayleigh may be my brother going insane using an account as a female o.0
     
    Im Spanish and i dont celebrate Day of the Dead , never had , never will.
     
    Good ol' "Dia de los Muerto's" or something like that...

    It's just a celebration for their loved ones and friends that have died because they want to make death not to seem scary...it's pretty funk-shway...
