Hey Me names Demidian..or they call me Jack (hmmm...who are they?)

I am recently new to making banners....sinces im to much of a cheapo i cant afford photoshop...and i can't be bothered to pirate a copy...i have been using gimp..that's right GIMP! aniwaiiz on to the showcase..it's not much but im still training:(oh btw...plz criticise, and do you think i should open a shop up? of course when i train some more)

Here are the banners in order i made them:

This was the first banner i ever made.(without copying somebody elses background) not much to say about it...

This was a sprite banner of Cloud From Final Fantasy =P...well i kind of like the outcome..but i reckon i could of done better..its look a bit plain doesnt it?

Okay this one is just a disgrace...i was testing out gimps tools and this is what i got...i just felt like putting it in the showcase.

I just made this one recently(not anymore)....it is currently my theme..EDIT:not any more =P

My Latest Banner( again not anymore)...it goes out of usual porportions for me( i always do small banners) i love the brush set i used for it =P

Now this is now my latest banner, it is of Uryuu ishida from bleach xP now mayb eone of most fav shows. i tryed to follow people on blending the render...but for the text i didn't do it for this one because it was too much trouble..(i had to find the right text find a tut etc,) so i guess next banner i will work on that, but for now one step at a time, Hope you like!^^~

Well this is my latest banner by request :), i hope you like it :P it was used with a manga render so it was a bit hard to work with..

This is my latest banner, which was not by request :P, i made two versions of it but this is my favourite one, depending on what comments i get from the GR (graphics ratings) Thread, i might post the other one as well.

It's not bad... and you used GIMP? That's not bad for a GIMP user. ^^

Well the only thing I can say is that you should play around with the image a little more instead of having the original and cutting out the backgrounds.

The backgrounds are good, would look better if you added textures though.

Overall, good job and keep it up! =D

Thankyou XP what do you mean by playing around with the image?...and what sort of textures?

Like for example, making the image shinier or making a little duller. And for textures, they are like backgrounds, but they add more things to your graphics.

Wow...Thankyou =D..i might open up a shop soon..i just need to start learning different styles befor ei do that...other wise people wouldnt request in my shop if there all the same..it would be boring xD

I agree... Start workin' then! I'm kidding. I would work for you but I'm not good at graphics.

Well, you've most certainely improved since you've started; there's no question about that.

However you still have a lot of work to do. The text isn't AAAA-mazing, but it's not bad. The only real crit I have is the brushing. Brushing over your image is a must in most styles. It pulls everything together.
