The pokemons nature is what determines what stats are higher or lower. For example, you can max out a pokemons Speed stat if it is Jolly or Timid. If a pokemon is Modest it can max out its Special Attack tat and its Attack stat wont grow as much but ultimately the EVS you give a pokemon determines this.
 
So if I have a gentle Beldum, rather than the preferred Adamant one, is that still ok?
 
Not really. Adamant is one of the bast natures for a Metagross but if you plan to only battle ingame trainers in doesnt matte too much.
 
Gentle is a terrible nature. It does not benefit a stat metagros uses and reduces a stat that he can get use out of. He needs adamant, or possibly impish if you are going for a very bulky build.

Does Ditto pass on its nature when breeding?
 
If it has an everstone, it has 50% chance of passing it's nature to the baby.
 
Sounds fake, mostly because I hadnt heard that before but thanks, it sholud help with my nature breeds.
 
The ditto trick is not fake. I have seen it been said a lot.
 
Hi, I'm new to Pokemon on the DS, but not new to Pokemon, The last game I had was Pokemon Red for the "brick" Gameboy... But I really liked the new DS so I bought one and I love it!!!

But I was just wondering how does the GTS work, cause I deposited a Pokemon to be traded, how do I know a trade has gone through, do I have to come back to the GTS to check if it has gone, or something? Thanks.

Well I haven't got to the route that the Pichu is at yet, and I had a spare Budew so I thought I would trade it just to see how it works.
 
Is IV and Nature related, let's say the Piplup has Modest Nature so does that mean the Piplup's IV on Sp. Atk will be higher? I put 2 Blaziken (Female and Male, of course) in the Daycare Center, but the old man told me they two seems prefer to play with other Pokemon... Does the Nature has something to do with it?
 
Hmm, I dont know but I can tell you that the parents IVs determine those of the offspring.
