Well, I'm asking this because yes, I'm a convert. XD I completely hated Pokemon for years, I couldn't see what the fuss was all about. When I was 10, I fell in love with Pokemon... and now I'm completely obsessed with it XD. And it got me into a whole lot of other Anime too! XD

Nope! Not in my life. :P
Whenever I started with pokemon, I became an instant fan at it.
Hey, I was in 2nd grade at that time so I easily become a fan of anything. XD

I never hated Pokemon. I didn't know about Pokemon for awhile when it first hit the USA. I found out about it when almost every kid brought Pokemon cards to school. It got so bad that it was banned from all schools. When I saw everyone into the card game, I wanted to be in it too. I went to my local comic book and card shop and I bought two single cards. A Poliwhirl card from the TV show series, and a Charmander from the TCG series. After like half a year, I started to watch the TV show. I then didn't get into the video games until g/s/c came out. Now I'm like the only one left that likes Pokemon in my school, or at least shows it a little. There have been signs that there are other fans that are hiding that they still like Pokemon. First of all, when I bring my gbasp with r/s or cards to school, other kids always want to look at them. Also, in my art classroom I saw a painting of a Pikachu wearing a frog costume. :P

Nah, never hated it. Kinda ignored it at a time though.

Did I ever hate pok?mon. Yes... twice!

At first I thought it was stupid. But then one day during the summer my cousins had these cards and they wanted me to play it with them. We kinda made up rules and stuff since they didn't have a whole lot at the time. But the cards looked cool and I was curious about them. A couple weeks later I bought a Diglett card for $0.80 I think it was... off my cousin. I still have the card.

Then I started really getting into it and I got a whole bunch of stuff. I continues liking it throughout 6th and 7th grade. Towards the end of 7th grade I started getting bored with it. SO I stopped liking it for the next 2 years. Last year after American Idol ended at 9 I went to the TV Guide Channel to see what was on and I saw that Pok?mon was on Cartoon Network. I decided to watch it cuz I was curious. As I watched it I remembered the episode and it made me start getting back into it... and eventually into other anim?s as well... that's my story of not liking it, then liking it, then not liking it again, and finally liking it again! Confusing...

    *takes a rifle out*
You guys ought to know what this is for. :P
Well I started getting bored of it since one time there wasn't any new episodes for a very long time. Well I sort of ended up liking Pokemon again like you did, snowangel.
I was very bored and had nothing to do so I just flipped through the channels and found Pokemon was on. Then I realized that was an episode I didn't see yet.

But you guys wanna know what inspired me to like Pokemon ever more....The Pokecommunity. :)

I joined the PokeCommunity because I was so obsessed with Pokemon - it got to the point where every time I mentioned "Pok--", everyone yelled at me to shut up.

No, not really. I?ve been pretty hooked for around six years. There were times like after a year of GSC it was a tad uninteresting, but my interest is certainly very high right now, even though R/S has been out a year.

Isn't that a bit too harsh for you.
What would you say if you wanted to poke someone? :P
    *poke JA* XD

XD Yeah, that too XD. Although that's more orange*berry's style XD. Well, I look back on the days when I hated everything Pokemon, and cringe...

    Never, I have been hooked for years now. I'm created a website even. ^^;

Oh in that case..*takes out a feather*
This has got to be more dangerous in tickling than a finger eh? :P

I remember when my friends first told me about pokemon. We were playing around in the trees around the beach. (my complex had all theses things out back hehe) I started saking questions like:
"Oh, can they evolve and then unevolve?"
    "Pikachu? What's that?"
Everyone was like that at some point hehe..

Well, my friends really didn't turn me over to it, oh no. In fact, I thought it was a really dumb idea at the time. What really got me going was the anime. I saw my sister watching it one morning, and started to watch it too. I liked it so much, I kept watching it. My love for pokemon started to grow....

Later on, I bought the blue version. I enjoyed that game so much, I played it over countless times. My love for it grew even stronger.....

The cards are what really hooked me. I had so much fun with them.......I wish I was back in those days....

Now, I'm a full fledged pokefan! Funny how there was such a change.....then again, I usually think a lot of things are wierd before I see it for myself hehe...

I remember how I started liking it... see, I've always been a big collector. Now, you know those little things you get in chip packets? Well, when Pokemon was at its height, they had Pokemon evolution cards! You know, you change the viewing angle and you see a different picture. At that time, I hated Pokemon, but I collected the cards anyway... and slowly I fell in love with the cute little critters... and then I started writing essays on them in English class (Seriously! And I got A+ too!)...

Oh yeah I was like that.
Once I got to know Pikachu, my friend showed me his Raichu card.
Since it looked too much like Pikachu to me at the time so I said"Oh
    look! That's a big Pikachu." :P
Then after I heard Raichu's name, I had trouble pronouncing it.
I kept calling it "Raychu." XD

I like that. "It's a big Pikachu!" But I always liked Ray-chu better than Pikapika XD

..."It's Pokaymoen!" ... Everyone used to say that whenever I bring manga to school... XD

Anyways, I am a convert, too. At first, I saw the kiddy cutesy wootsy stuff, I thought it was bad. Well, after a friend recomended a blue version, I was hooked. Soon, it grew in me... well, now, I raise my pride with the manga. XD

The first version I played was Red. My friend lent me it and her Gameboy for 3 months. Yes, a quarter of a year. It was great! She even let me overwrite her save file. I had to borrow it; at that time, I didn't know about emulation, and I still don't have a Gameboy. o_O I really want a GBA SP.

I only have an Advance... but I'm satisfied with it.. though an SP still lookes cool... I don't need to charge my batteries once in a while... XD
