so is there a sub of that yet? cause otherwise from what i can see theres not much new information presented, even the alpha vs omni fight was kinda lackluster in comparison to the one they showed last may

They mentioned that the new trailer was meant to preview the voice acting when they announced the stream, so there isn't much new info other than the bit about something infecting Digimon.

hmm wonder what kind of virus it is. the only viruses that i can remember that have shown up in the series are the d-reaper, the x-program (though those 2 things started out as deletion programs meant to eradicate digimon, not infect them.) the one that infected diaboromon's digi-egg & the one that infected kokomon. (though those last 2 where made out to be the same one in the dub just for the sake of linking the 3 movies into one).

Seeing the Zero Two Chosen made me gasp, and I can't believe the way the writers are going to take them out of the story. It's much better than just forgetting about them or writing them off as "Hikari and Takeru's classmates/friends that they don't talk to much." The questions that this raises are where in the timeline this battle against Alphamon takes place and why the Zero Two Chosen Digimon weren't shown in the battle's aftermath.

The question as to where this takes place in the timeline is interesting because it leads to trying to figure out how long Daisuke, Miyako, Iori, and Ken have been out of commission and why Takeru and Hikari weren't part of that fight. And why everything else seems really fine for the rest of the Chosen, like they're not that worried that a part of their team is in that much danger.

My guesses are that the battle against Alphamon takes place when everyone else is getting ready for school as in the opening, and the other Chosen haven't heard anything yet. Takeru and Hikari are busy in some way to keep them away from the battle so they can be back with the original Chosen team. The Zero Two Chosen aren't dead. Just kept away in some way by Alphamon.

Some people have guessed that they are dead and the plot involves time travel in some way to bring them back.

Still, it was really great to hear Butter-Fly again set to animation. So excited for this to finally premier!

Crunchyroll has just announced that they've acquired DigiTri!

The lifelong DigiDestined at Crunchyroll are proud to announce the acquisition of one of the most exciting anime of 2015, Digimon Adventure Tri, the story of the Taichi, Agumon, and all of their friends six years after the events of Digimon Adventure .

The first four episodes of Digimon Adventure Tri will be available starting 7:00am PST on Friday, November 20th in the following regions: United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America.

The next chapter of Digimon Adventure Tri will be available during the Winter season of 2016, with more information to come ~

SOMEONE CHANGE THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD XD

Gosh haven't done a write-up in a while, and this is probably the worst time for me to be writing one right now, but DigiTri is a must xD

Firstly, even though it's a movie it felt nice that it was released in 4 episodes. 4 epsiodes X 6 would mean 24 episodes. So even if it is put out as 6 movies, it is equivalent of running 2 seasons weekly. Sad part is we have to wait till Winter 2016 for the next 4 episodes to come out in April.

First 5 minutes we've already seen, and despite most people disliking the 02 cast I really did like them a lot! I'm glad that they were pushed away as "just to busy to be seen" and seeing them thrashed to bits in the opening was aside from being a bit shocking, was a lot better than what I was hoping for with the 02 cast just being shoved to the side without a great reason.

Before I stop talking bout the 02 cast, I'll just leave this map monitor thing that I only just noticed when screencaps were posted, that the 02 cast had names on there. You can see Daisuke, Ken, Miyako and Iori (his name twice) being kept track of, however their location is unknown.

I've read theories prior to the airing that this may be in another time dimension or something(?) but since their names are here I guess that changes things up a but? They could possibly be in the digital world if that tracker only keeps track of them in the real world.

Was watching a couple more speculations last night to whether Takeru and Hikari would still have the D3 digivice from 02 or would they have their digivices revert back to their original or their digivices never changed from the original, however we see Takeru ause his D3.

I really do hope we get some 02 cast answers soon. It's currently like the 02 cast have been erased from existence aside from the tracker. If this was normal, I feel like the older 01 cast would still call the 02 cast when they were having their meetings, but they were completely not mentioned at all. Tai also gets new goggles within the film noting that the previous goggles he gave to Daisuke are still missing.

I legit don't know where to begin about the rest of the film. I just watched it with a smile on my face the entire time.

Out of all the cast I loved how Taichi has grown up and matured a lot since the last 2 series. Out of all of them, he's the one thinking about the consequences of digimon battles within the real world - how these battles destroy the city and could possibly be the result of killing people due to these battles.

HE ALSO HAS NEW GOGGLES BACK :D

Kinda sad that no one could come to his soccer game at all, but was cool to see Sora try to make the effort to see both Taichi's soccer game and still try to make Yamato's concert.

As usual, loved the relationship between Yamato and Taichi even with the usual strain. He seems to be a bit awks around Sora and Yamato at the beginning. Though I did love cheeky Tai when they were having lunch together.

I laughed at the early bit where all of Taichi's soccer teammates were all tired and resting from practise, but when Hikari showed up to give Taichi his lunch, they jumped up to impress her. #needsmoreprotectiveonii-chantho

I'm also still glad they kept Yamato and Takeru time in

Takeru's clothing fashion sense going as far to help Koushiro with his own clothing choices - who even made his own software to help him choose his clothes O_O

Sucks to see Jo suffering now with low grades at school and then missing the fight with the others. This scene though with gomamon was so cute.

I don't really have much of an opinion yet with Meiko and secret agent teacher aside that Meiko is totally into Tai xD
Running out of time to write, but I really did like how they did show a lot of other people and their opinions on digimon going into the real world. How Yamato got really mad about what people said about their digimon and how they should just all die/ go away and how different Taichi acted instead.

They also have a social network site for digidestined which was cool.


Will write more some other time~ already wrote a lot haha. Gonna have a rewatch as well before i write anymore.

Ditto. Hurricane Touchdown/The Golden Digimentals (aka the "Present Day" portion of the English movie) is not canon to the series so they never got Megas.

It makes you wonder though: will Gatomon get Ophanimon or Magnadramon as her Mega? I think it will be Ophanimon to parallel Seraphimon.

Man, it makes me wish that March 12 would be a lot closer than it is now since it's coming out basically when I start going back to uni again next year.

Also makes you wonder who's going to be on the other posters of the other 5 movies since we get Jou and Mimi to one poster. Most likely Koushiro will be with Sora and Hikari will be with Takeru.

The other 2 posters? maybe all of them in one? 02 cast depends on how much related they will be to the story if they turn all dark/ virus-ed, corrupted and have to go against 01 cast or something? but it seems unlikely at this point until there's more info and more movies out.

i doubt it will be. more then likely their gonna stick to whats already been done like they've already done and bring out the big pink furry dragon that looks like a cat-like falcor(never endingstory) with horns

though i'm wondering why exactly kari didn't armour evolve gotomon into nefertimon. did she break her d-terminal or leave it behind somewhere? i can see leaving it in a closet as it became obsolete with the advent of cellphones, but i can't really see her or tk selling or tossing it out without taking the digi-armours out of it first.
just think, it they had set this 4 years ahead rather then 3 we'd be seeing iphones and izzy wouldn't have an excuse to make it so they can only come in & out of near by screens.
but that would also ruin a good bit of the rest of the plot & there's the possibility that by the end of this izzy might snipe jobs out of his grand achievement & create the first iphone in the digimon adventure universe.
i also find it interesting that this is set in the year that Digital Monster X-Evolution was release which was the first time an alphamon & omega/omnimon fought in digimon media
it makes you wonder how many royal knights will show up by the end of it.. a pre-evolution of one was in the harbor...

also, did anyone else spot the tamers reference?

I am 99% sure Gatomons mega will be Ophanimon, if only due to the Digimon Adventure game on the PSP, which also put Vikemon as the mega of Gomamon.
