I read the Doraemon manga. Pretty fun. Will never be totally translated.

Translate Doraemon?

That's like asking someone to translate the bible. For fun. And then you give them another version of a slightly different bible and tell them to do it again because they're obligated to do it since they're already into it. And then another for good measure.

And it doesn't stop. Ever.

Not quite.

I had a classmate who grew up watching Doraemon in Chinese.

Think us English were the first to mix it with sugar and eat it as a sweet. Guess I haven't tried it in any other forms but I certainly didn't like that as a kid. Thinking about it I probably wouldn't mind it now.

If you took a test and it asked which nation first mixed x with sugar, it was probably us.

6. American varieties are extremely sweet and sugary. Especially where I'm located.

We have an "Australian style" licorice brand in my area that is a licorice that's so very not sweet. And I'm pretty sure it's actually produced in Minnesota. The same company also puts out a Dr. Pepper licorice (not bad), Orange Crush licorice (amazing), Grape Crush licorice (okay), a Hawaiian Punch licorice (not had it or seen it myself, despite having been to the town they make it in), and some more normal flavors like green apple and watermelon (actually, the normal flavors are better than every Twizzlers flavor that's not cherry).
