Despite we battling all the trainers till the path towards pokemon league battling all the elite fours, then finally realization hit that Cynthia still dang stronger than us and way up higher level, than my team since it managed to knocked my pokemons out and thankfully some can endure the hit, I thank rng for that garchomp doesn't finish my clafable with a single earthquake and just use poison jab which I managed to narrow the damage down to non-lethal HP %.

Do you still feel like you're underleveled facing Cythia as you would be in diamond/pearl or plat. I looked the level differences and gosh Lucario and Garchomp was too fast to endure it all.

Right now my Pokémon are around lv 48-52, and I'm on my way up Mt. Coronet to take care of Cyrus before going to Sunyshore. I think I'll (hopefully) be around 58-60 when facing Cynthia so...not sure how it's going to go. I definitely did feel overleveled for the game so far, and so did my husband despite actively training 12 Pokémon, but Cynthia seems like a different story lol. I'm glad they kept her as tough/threatening as she was in the original. Definitely harder in the original DP though, due to lack of shared Exp. Share/no friendship bonuses among other stuff.

I think the highest level her Pokémon get is Garchomp (and maybe a Milotic?) at lv.88, so she's going to be a steely bitch like she was in every other iteration of the games you can fight her in.

Just strategize. Bring a Fairy type cause she always leads with Spiritomb. That'll help with her Garchomp too. And a Fire type to handle Roserade and Lucario. That's four of her Pokémon handled right there if you're properly leveled. Tho iirc she switches out Roserade for Porygon, so, idk, good luck I guess.

I was lucky that time against her garchomp instead just pummel me with a STAB move and I had clafable held a berry which reduce effectiveness of a poison-type moves and manage to pull it off, I was able take down roserade with alazkam but maybe the other way is better. The only problem that Lucario often outspeed you and finish off with an earthquake. Probably figthing be fitting for that matter then

I'm still early in the game and when you get to use the underground, all the Pokémon you run into are stronger, but you should beat them easily with type advantages. It's good training.

When I got to Cynthia, all my pokemon were about Lv 60, my highest being Lv 68. So I don't think I was under leveled. However, I barely changed my team until the 6th and 7th Gym where I made late changes. But those pokemon still ended up being level 60 and I didn't train.

I will say, I did use the Lucky Egg though.

A good bulky Water type soul definitely help on your team overall too.

Me who just use palkia instead staying with Emopleon
