Do you dislike when a song ends oddly?

Yeah, I hate it. It just makes me cringe. Music shouldn't be something that should seem awkward. There aren't too many examples that stick out in my mind, but songs that are long enough to be in parts so that there are slight gaps in between each track can annoy me depending on how bad they interrupt the flow of the music. Songs with gaps on a live album aren't that bad and they're more convenient than annoying because they show when a new song is supposed to begin.

Every time a song ends like that, I feel like punching a Pichu.

Seriously, I don't care the type, if the last note is wrong, it will be the thing I will remember the most and the whole thing will suck.

Then again, that could be one less Pichu that holds an axe...

Well.. When a song just.. ends, like it's been cut, I feel pretty let down.
But if it ends like, disharmonious or something, then it's all good.
But if it's a piano song, it HAS to end on a chord or passage that makes it sound complete. I hate being left hanging on piano pieces.

Eh it's not too bad. I hate when songs lead into other songs on cds. It makes them annoying when you only want to listen to the one song and not the other it leads into.

Yes, and it really is annoying when I get really into the groove of these songs and all of a sudden that's spoiled by the obscure ending. With some songs I'm easily put off by them because of this, otherwise I'd just try to prevent the song from being played to its maximum time just to avoid it.

I hate that. I need resolution. Being a music person myself, it annoys me greatly.

I guess. Nah. If its like really obvious or something, then I don't like it, but if the mistake, etc. is blended in with the music, then I'm cool with it. XD

Haha I hate that! When the song ends awkwardly, or on an off-tone note, or even an odd beat, etc. It's just bleh, especially if it's a song you usually sing along to. "lalalalala..ehhh...yeah.." XD

Things like that are bound to annoy people. I get used to them; there's nothing else you can do if you like the song. Sometimes I actually find them funny, especially when the sound ends abrubtly or suddenly. Ending on an incorrect note from the rest of the song has posibilities however. Some sound ridiculously stupid but some actually improve the overall take to the song.

Pink's 'So What' doesn't end in a note at all. It ends in a raspberry. That just demolishes the seriousness of the song.

"Prequel to the Sequel" by Between the Buried and Me is one. I'm always like, "lolwut." No, not the track used in Rock Band 2, I talking about the full 9-minute track. Also, System of a Down's "Chop Suey" has a pretty boring ending. Not odd ending, but still, makes me cringe.

The only ending I have a real problem with, in a song, is the ending where the chorus is just repeated x4 until it fades to nothing.

What endings are you guys talking about?

The only ending I have a real problem with, in a song, is the ending where the chorus is just repeated x4 until it fades to nothing.

I don't like those endings either. I think an ending when a line that isn't part of the chorus is repeated until it fades is even worse.

it depends on how its done....

sometimes it can ruin the track, sometimes it can make it better...

a song i was listening to before does it... it cuts off the song and suddenly starts a 13 second outro with NOTHING even similar to what the song was like...

i was "What the hell!" at first but now i laugh and replay the bit where it changes cause its so sudden.

however there are a few somes that just end randomly like its cut off... i mean... they can at least let the guitar finish before ending the song.
