Do you ever play as your other gender?

I only recall doing it once, and I called the guy "Jay Sean" because I thought the sprite for the male on R/S was hot... XD;

Otherwise I play as a girl.

I've played as a male, and female. See. I don't discriminate.
It'll just have to pend on the character designs and me. XD

My Platinum game is a female... It was my first time and I was bored but things ended up going well so it's now the main game I use :P

...My Platinum game isn't a female, sorry... It's genderless, I chose the female character.

I always pick the male character, despite being a girl. I find the male design better looking, and I think that in every game the outfit the girl is wearing wouldn't do much good on a roughing it Pokemon adventure. I like the guys clothes better too (:

I generally stick with my own gender in my first playthrough, and switch genders for the second. Then if I play through again I choose whichever appealed to me most.

I prefer to stick to my own gender, obviously excluding the games where there isn't an option.

I usually play as a male, the exception being Pearl/Diamond/Platinum, simply because I can't STAND the male's design. It's that stupid hat...I'm trying to become a pokemon master, not going golfing.

Besides one replay of Pokemon Sapphire, I've always chosen the male character. The only reason I wanted to switch it up was because I didn't realize that the male character's default name was Brendan the first time I played, so I wanted to see what it was like to essentially face myself.

I always stick with my own gender. Never thought about switch to a female. Don't see the point really.

The first time I restarted my Diamond, I decided to play as the female character to see what it would be like.

Turned out to be one of my favorite Pokemon playthroughs.

Usually I'll play as my own gender for my main game (Male)....but if I get another one (like the third version) I'll play as a girl.

Just the mix it up a bit. I play as a girl in platinum. I don't see a big deal, and it makes a change from looking at the same sprite all the time (if you have two games in the trio of games)

I voted as I play as other genders though.

In pokemon black/white, it's the first time I've really liked the male character...so I'll much more happily choose him this time. If I do get the third version I'll still probably play as the girl though.

I've only ever played as a guy in the 1st and 2nd generation games when I had to. I never really liked it in the first two generations but I may do it in the future just to see if there's any difference.

I stick with being my own gender - female. Why? Because I had no choice for RBY and GS, so when I finally was able to be a girl, you bet I was going to be! xD I was glad to end my identity crisis.

I'm a guy, but I almost always play as a girl in RSE and DPPt. Why? Because I think the 3rd and 4th generation guys look stupid, quite frankly.

Sometimes in real life I act boyish, but I would never ever change genders. Because it feels uncomfortable.

I do on occasion, usually for a Solo run or if I just like the female sprite in that game.
I'm probably going to use the female in B/W too; since I really dislike the male.
