I hate almost everything thats on the radio, its all designed to be stuff you listen to in the club and dance to and thats it, real hip hop and rap is meant to be a form of story telling not this crap that its become today, but there are some artists out there who i respect like Jay-z, Nas, Lupe Fiasco but i listen mainly to underground rap like Immortal Technique, Lous Logic, Styles Of Beyond, Fort Minor(i guess its sort of mainstream), Dj Khalil (not khaled hes an idiot -_- ), some oldies like NWA, Beastie Boys, Tupac, Biggie, and several others...i rap myself so i am pretty much in love with the genre just not what its become in these mordern times.

i love rap, though not american rap in the slightest.
only american rappers I ever listen to are:
Outlawz
Immortal Technique
300 by Fat Joe (One song :P)

otherwise i only listen to Uk Rap/Grime/Garage

JME
Wiley
Ghetto
Sway
Bashy
Akala

plus tons of more 'unknown' british rappers, those are the more popular ones. Obviously I love rock and other genres as well, best cross-over song for grime and rock, arctic monkeys brianstorm remix featuring Random Impulse. Awesome remix.

Yes I listen to it!....

Favorite Artists would be:
T-Pain
Stat Quo
Luda!
Diddy from time to time
and oh whats his name....he sings suicidul and take you there... ahh can't remember

But yeah, I losten to those guys from time to time, I like hip and rap, they have some good music. Also I'm a big fan of the remixs they make, great to listen to, or get pumped up about.

Yeah myself I prefer American Hip Hop, mainly because I'm living in a basketball type culture.

But I do listen to some grime as well.

JME is....SERIOUS! XD. I saw him at Camden Park last year. I really want one of them Boy Better Know shirts as well!

Sway is good as well, and Bashy is good, very individual, has his own sound.

Dizzee Rascal is good too, again very individual style, and is 1 of hardly any UK rappers who are making it in America.

Yeah Ludacris is awesome, some of his songs are funny as hell too!

Stat Quo is good, I heard one of his songs on an NBA Live game for my PS2 and listen to some of his stuff now.

You say, "rap and hip-hop". I say, "evil noise that needs to be extinguished". That's all I should need to say.

I'm not a big fan of it. I can't stand most of it, I have only a few favorite songs of that genre. Most of the songs are about drugs and offensive to women [sometimes]. J-Hop/rap is better though.
But I love RnB ^^

I do listen to it but some songs are totally pointless and not worth listening too.

But here is who I listen too:
Eminem
Dr.Dre
Run-DMC
NWA
Big L
Insane Clown Posse

I listen to rock, metal, death metal, indie, alternative, punk, hair metal(lol), glamour rock, electronica, tecktonik, house, hard house, some pop but not corny pop, country, horror punk, j-pop, j-rock, and a bunch of other stuff.

I reccommend those who picked the second or third option to check out Lupe Fiasco or Kanye West; two great examples of why rap doesn't always have to be about degrading women, guns or drugs.

For the love of God, no one please listen to Soulja Boy! He could turn even me away from the genre. His raps are SO pointless...

OMG finnally someone agrees with me where im from everybody like him and its so annoying seriouslly he raps about his cell phone and his shoes and a girl thats thirsty and uhh what else how about everything pointless xD
i wanted to shoot myself listening to that hunk of crap called an album
i was like WTF lmao
but im done ranting know
i forgot to add the black eyed peas to my list there great ^_^

Yes, like I said before, Soulja Boy has given the 'Hip Hop' genre a terrible name, and its almost a laughing stock now. There will always be true, real, gritty hip hop though, the stuff I like. Not rapping about his new Bathin' Apes XD

I hate Rap music and Hip-hop so much, its pointless and dumb, people expect me to like it just because I'm 1/3 black. I'm a rock type of person

R etards
A ttempt

thats what it stands for

See, no offence, this is the attitude that kinda bugs me. It goes to personal opinion, but calling it pointless and dumb is a bit OTT I think. I'm not into much rock at all, but I never see it as pointless or dumb, it's just not my thing, thats it. I'm not gonna spout how much I hate it, because I don't, some is actually ok, it's just not my favourite genre.

I don't tend to listen any hip hop these days.

I'd rather listen to old school hip hop. Guys like Whodini, Run-DMC, Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five, Kurtis Blow, Newcleus, the Fat Boys, Man Parrish and many others.
