I nickname all my pokemon, even if I'm gonna trade them off straight away. I just call them "Trade", lol. In my current playthrough of Red (Grass UMC), I have:

Spurt the Venusaur
Coconut the Exeggutor
Bugshroom the Parasect
Mandrake the Vileplume
And a Tangela that I literally just caught... They're all really bad, arent they XD.

I usually do it, but if I'm feeling lazy or uninspired I don't. Simple theory, eh? ;)

Nah I don't bother with it, and I'm not too bothered when other people nickname theirs.

It's only when I see something like a fire pokemon named "Blaze" or "Flame" that gets me thinking... Really? REALLY? How unoriginal.

I love nicknaming my pokemon!!! it makes them unique :D

I recently caught a vullaby on my Pokemon black game. I decided to train as my dark/flying type to use against the elite 4. I named it KFC.

Not that much, I do sometimes if I feel like it though.

I do name my pokemon nicknames, but only a few. And if I do I try giving them a more bad-ass name ex;

Registeel - Iron Hide
Wailord - Tsunami
Electrode - KABOOM!
Staraptor - Air Raid
Mr. Mime - Urkle

I nickname my pokemon with the last syllable of their name... like Charizard as Zard

I usually do name my pokemon, but ever since Black and White came out, I realized I was running out of names! I've also realized that you don't have to nickname a pokemon for it to feel totally unique to you, the anime has proved that, even though it had always helped me. Now, I usually rely on Japanese names. I have a Seismitoad that is named Hikigaeru which means Toad in Japanese.

I usually don't...but I'm going to since I have a few pokemon I know I'm going to be using for a while.

I always nickname my Pokemon. Sometimes I give them their names in Japanese or nicknames of the names in Japanese. Other times I nickname them depending on their appearance

I don't nickname my pokemon, the reason is that I usually can't think of good nicknames to give them. I mean, I've seen quite a few wehn I watch walkthroughs etc, but I don't want to steal them.

I always nickname my Pokemon.
