Do You Prefer Attack or Defense?

Attack, defense, or mix?

In game, do you prefer to have Pokemon with high attack, defense, or evenly split?

I prefer attack, because if the opponent is defeated, what is there to defend?

I'm a hyper offensive guy when it comes to battles, because it gets the job done faster. I also resort to defensive tactics whenever I have to.

I prefer the best of both worlds. Since offense is completely blocked by a strong defense you might as well have a strong offense to block a strong defense with a strong offense to destroy the other team with. Do I make sense? Lol. XD

Ever since Nuzlocke I prefer things that can take a hit. A Pokemon like Alakazam is going to fail to OHKO its opponent at some point, and will then quickly die. Something like Bronzong, on the other hand...

well i voted for offense but i had some defensive pokemon yesterday in battle factory and they where awsome....so a mix is highly recommended

I really have a combination of attacking specialists and more defensive Pokemon, and I prefer one or the other depending on who my opponent is and how I want to conduct the battle. A high Attack is preferable for ending battles quickly, while I'll send out my higher defense Pokemon during those times when I need to absorb the attacks from particularly strong Pokemon and try to get them to use up their best moves.

I'd have to say Defence myself. I prefer the 'harder-to-faint' Pokémon :)

Considering, they usually have a deflective move that powers up when their HP is down (Magic Coat/Counter) I think it's pretty good :)

Naturally, I'd say defense, because that's the best offense.

However, in Pokémon, I get a little bit rushed with boring battles, so I need a mix to keep me satisfied.

In-game, I'm very offensive and just like to kill things as quickly as I can.

For more competitive play, I like to be defensive and toy with my opponents as much as I can. >:]

I like defense + high HP. Always have. Prolongs the battle and makes it a little more interesting to me. c:

offense is also a good defense lol sounds like football.. but i perfer attack because it gets the job done faster and doesn't get boring.

I prefer to attack more than to defend during battling. However, it's always smart to keep one or two tanks with you in case things go terribly wrong. There has been many times when the opponent's Pokemons were able to take down my defenders quickly, so I don't trust them as much as I do to attackers. At least they get the job down, with only minimal to maximum damage to themselves.

'The best defense is a good offense'.

Attack and set up and attack is the way for me to go. It works for me, and usually it never gives the opponent time to counter, even when they play heavy stall.

For in-game runs, I do prefer attack. I have to have a mix for teams that I actually plan on using competitively though.

I always go for attack over defense. I can't stand having a giant tank just sit around and barely scratch anything back. At least with high attack the possibility of high speed is usually present. Which means even though your Pokemon may only be able to take one or two hits it can at least get around by defeating most opponents with one hit.
