Do you sign your posts?

I used to when I was about 12 but now I'm far too lazy. 8/ I just let my sig do the talking.

I only do un the Unova Travel journal, or in some sort of pokemon journal:

I don't really see the need for it (I used to do it in other forums) anymore, with the cool signatures most users have in this forum, posts don't need signing. As a matter of fact your 'signature' is meant for 'signing' your posts.

There are two main reasons why I don't: First of all, I'm far too lazy for that. Second of all, if they don't know who's posting by checking the username on the top/side (depending on how theirs is laid out), there's a problem. XD; My signature is pretty much... my signature, you know? Haha.

No.

It's strange how people who sign their posts with only their name never seem to put that in the actual signature field, while people with something in the signature field never put their name there.

Nope, that's what signatures are for.

If I did though, I would just sign it as "Ice" for short. That's what most people know me by anyway.

It's a bloody annoying habit that defeats the purpose of having a dedicated signature field.

No one signs their posts like that these days. This is why signatures were invented, and used to "sign". :P

I think it's really obnoxious and redundant to do it. We can see your username, there is no need to sign out of your post. I think it makes people look arrogant also, as if your post is just so important that you feel the need to sign it off.

Sorry if this offends anyone. :>

I don't sign my posts, since it just doesn't seem right, considering you have a signature for that stuff, and it seems silly anyway. I mean, I don't want to have over 9000 posts with "~Alternative" at the end, because like everyone has said, it seems redundant, and I'm not really one for repeating myself.

One thing I've never really become accustomed to is that when people do it for everything, and it just seems weird to write something like that for something. I mean, I'll just put something like that if I'm addressing to someone, or if I'm writing a very long post or a guide or something, but just a little thing at the end of every post seems quite dumb.

It would kind of be like wearing a name tag that says Hi my name is Dave_
Then everytime you say something ending with 'Said Dave_'
If you were in real life..

Nahh, I don't feel the need to since it says my username as the one who posted the comment right above it XD
