I'm just gonna jump right in and say Dawn is pale, so yes she should leave. LOL no, actually Dawn's grown on me, just like May and Misty did, but I think if anyone should leave it should be Ash and Brock, I mean come on! I don't know whose fault it was making Ash and Brock so lame (I'm guessing it's both the new american dubbers and the animation), but they are just so lifeless and dull latley. The animation is crap more often than not in recent episodes and i don't know there should just be a new pokemon show or something cause this isn't cutting it.

I am going to note that when there is a new female heroine or a new group of heroes (ex: Kotone, Dawn, that whole pokemon chronicles 3 episode arc) make an appearance or when a member of the team leaves for good, I am more inclined to watch that episode. I guess the characters get stale after awhile and no offense to any asians, but you know all those baby girls are being thrown out, so it makes sense that the writers only throw away the female protogaisnts.


Dawn, Ash, Brock? Who cares! kick 'em all off! :D
 
Misty was my favorite char and i didn't want her to leave but when she did i was like stupid writers. Then may was iffy but dawn is just STUPID. I think that if the Johto battle frontier happened Misty should come back because she was in Johto and i also think Tracie should too. Also ash should get all his johto's again. The only thing i want different is i want Misty to come back with togetic

I think they should bring Pokemon Chronicles back with Dawn as the main character, I get tired of Ash after a while, but i like dawn.

I personally don't like Dawn... I dunno, she just annoys me and so does her Piplup. I hope they decide to bring back Misty or May. They where by far the best female characters. =P
 
I would like to her to leave, because she´s too annoying and she says allt eh time "no need to worry!"Aarggh...and she´s also artificial. I would like Misty re-join to the group and have a fourth new member, maybe some different kind of character ,no-hero type,with a little edge...Uu I know, I want Conway to join the group!! Or some girl who isn´t stereotypish girl, maybe nerdy or a joker....but seriously, Dawn´s outfit is horrible! Couldn´t her dress be a little more shorter?-_-' I want back also the unique humour what they had in original series!!!Who agree?
 
I agree wholeheartedly. Only original trio had the best and unique humor. I wish they gave first trio again.

Then and only then will the Pokemon world be a better place xD

I totally agreed with this ome too.It's nice to see Misty to return on DP or make her apperance.Still..Dawn annoys me sometimes...

- The Protagonist Status - From all the main girls who have been with Ash in his travels, Dawn has received the highest status of protagonist with her own mascot and astounding similarity to Ash. She got an entire episode for her introduction, unlike May and Misty who got practically...nothing. Her own encounter with the legendary Mesprit at the lake, the time she saved Piplup from Ariados etc...

- Misty Not Coming Back - Also, Misty has been confirmed by official sources not to make a return as a main character in the future so I'm sorry to burst your nostalgic bubbles guys, but it ain't gonna happen. She may get a few cameos though.

- May=/= Dawn - I am sick of people going on over and over again how much of a copy is she of May. She is nothing like May. First of all her appearance and her personality. How can you compare the two? May was unsure of herself right at the start and didn't really know what she wanted to do until later episodes. It was right after won his first badge. She also had the sub-shipping plot with Drew which grew more and more and is for me now officially canon due so much hints.

Dawn however had her mother as a role-model and since then she knew she wanted to be a coordinator like her. From the very beginning she has been introduced as an overly confident girl who never payed any attention on her mistakes and always looked forward to the future. But the sudden losses landed her on the ground and made her realize she needs to learn from her mistakes and work hard to accomplish what she wants. Furthermore, her contest were far more realistic than May's.

Yes, I like Dawn and the character she's become in the past 4 years, and to bo honest I don't want her to leave. She has grown on me and I just like her personality. I can't imagine her without Ash and Brock by her side.

Hehe, I am just sick of people complaining how May and Dawn are the saem. I hate that.

As for your question, yes. Lyra got her anime debut so I guess Leaf should get her own one too.
 
Dawn's character is what it is, a cameo of the 4th Generation of the Pokémon games. Is she awful? No. Is she brilliant? No. She is very similar to May in that way, the only difference I see in them is May is a little bit more down to earth and seems to have developed a little better than Dawn.

Misty was the same at first, she was a Gym leader who was a cameo for the 1st Genration, as was Brock, but somehow, the writers saw a chance to expand the characters into something more thanks to their relationship with Ash and before you knew it, you had good, developed characters who could stand up on their own two feet without Ash constantly there to distract you from the fact they weren't any good.

The issue I have with Misty coming back is the example of Brock. He really doesn't do much for the anime anymore, rarely is an episode about him and the only gimmick they have of him now is that freaky toad of a Pokémon poisoning him in the butt everytime he flirts with a girl, which in my opinion will eventually give Brock some kind of disease. Seriously, you try get posioned jabbed into your butt every single day and lets see how you turn out after a while...

Anyway, I liked Misty a lot as a character and I have some concerns about bringing her back for the simple fact they could potentially butcher her. I liked Cynthia's character a lot, why not bring someone like that along? More serious, bit of mystery, tough as hell, might be a change from the usual Dawn and May, "kid next door without a clue" attitude, I mean we had to deal with that from Ash for so many generations, I think it's time we had some more experienced characters.
 
mmm, yes. Probably because in my eyes I believe that May is the "original female coordinator" and I was pretty dissappointed that she was replaced by a 10 year old (who looks like shes 14). But this is pokemon, its going to happen every time. I just hope to see the return of Misty or May.
 
Oh man people are still itching about Misty >_>

I like Dawn better than May but then again I don't watch the series. I'm just picking Dawn, despite her blandness, because I hated Hoenn. If they do replace Dawn I want to see less of a coordinator girl and more of a battle girl again.
