Doctor Who Mafia
So there's this man. They call him The Doctor. He calls himself The Doctor. He's not sure why. There's another man called Davros. One of The Doctor's oldest enemies. The creator of the Daleks. He has started an alliance with the Cybermen, the Zygons, and the Sontarans to finally take down The Doctor for good. Oh, and some rogue Time Lords who go by The Master, The Rani, and The Monk have decided to get involved with the proceedings and cause some havoc.
Who will survive? Will The Doctor and his children of time prevail again? It's all up to you!!
In this game, instead of being lynched, players are sent to the void.
Instead of being killed at night, they are exterminated.
I wanted to bring some fun roles to this, including some other fun mechanics based around the Doctor Who universe. If this one goes well, we can do more of these with other characters. That's the best thing about basing this on a show with 50 plus years of airtime. Endless characters. Oh, and nobody stays dead in the Doctor Who universe forever. Death is for other people.
And now, let's meet the cast.
The Doctor - "I'm The Doctor, and I save people!"
(Doctor) Chooses one person to save each night.
Rory Williams - "Trust the plastic."
(Bodyguard) Visits one person each night. If he visits the person the alliance tries to exterminate that night, both the bodyguard and alliance member die instead.
Kate Stewart - "And with dress sense like that, you must be The Doctor!"
(Cop) Visits one person each night. Learns the alignment of that person.
Sarah Jane Smith - "You can tell you're getting older, your assistants are getting younger."
(Vanilla Town)
Rose Tyler - "Hold on a minute! You can't just go swanning off!"
(Vanilla Town)
Martha Jones - "All this time and you're still full of surprises!"
(Vanilla Town)
Amy Pond - "So this was a good idea, was it? They were leaving!"
(Vanilla Town)
Clara Oswald - "Nothing is more important than my egomania!"
(Vanilla Town)
Donna Noble - "You can tell what year it is just by smelling?"
(Vanilla Town)
Jo Grant - "Oh, so many years since I was on another planet!"
(Vanilla Town)
Davros - "This is my final victory, Doctor. I have shown you yourself."
(Godfather) Chooses who to exterminate and who to carry out that extermination. Appears innocent in cop reports.
Cyber-Leader - "You will be upgraded."
(Silencer) Visits one person each night. The person visited is only allowed to vote the next day, and offer no further communication.
Zygon - "We only have to agree to live."
(Disguiser) Visits one person each night. If the disguiser is visited by the cop, they will appear as the alignment of the person they visited.
Sontaran - "The bravery of idiots is bravery nonetheless."
(Hooker) Visits one person each night. Role blocks that person.
The Master - "The lover of chaos, who wants you to love it too."
Once per game, The Master can choose to skip the current day phase. All voting becomes irrelevant. Nobody gets sent to the void. This does NOT reveal who The Master is. Can win with either The Children Of Time or The Alliance.
The Rani - "Oh, do stop squabbling and get on with it!"
(Lover) Visits one person at night during the during the game, that person falls in love with The Rani. If one person in the pair dies, so does the other person. The Rani wins if both players are alive at the end of the game.
The Monk - "Funny business? Me?"
(Monk) Visits one person every night. If that person is exterminated during the night, or sent to the void during the next day phase, they are protected instead. If The Monk protects two people during the game, he wins.
Days will last for 48 hours, as usual. Nights will last for 24 hours, as usual.
The Alliance will have their own Discord chat.
The Children Of Time should PM their night actions to me. The Alliance can PM their night actions to me either here, or in the Discord chat. Whatever you prefer.
Votes should be formatted as [Send To Void] PLAYER NAME HERE. Failure to do so may result in your vote not being counted.
Missing two votes in a row will result in your removal from the game and your replacement. To keep things interesting, replacements in this game will be given entirely new roles.
Do not share your PMs! Furthermore, all game related conversation should be kept to this thread or to specified Discord chats.
If you have been sent to the void, you are gone. You get one after-voiding post that may not contain any in-game information. After that you're done.
Do not post in the thread during the night phase.
You cannot abstain. Vote changing is allowed. Plenty of discussion will be had, I'm sure.
In the event of a tie for lynch votes, a coin toss will determine who dies.

The Alliance (Mafia)
