Does a Name Matter to you?

All of you need to stop lying lmaoooooo

Like... yeah? Many names have preconceived notions attached to them, let alone ones that you have developed through your own journey in the world. That's not to say one has to or will take part in any judgement, but the innate thought is certainly present at least initially.
Let's not try to appear too holy on a Pokémon forum.

I may judge a name itself in a way, but I would never judge a person by a name because I don't think it really means anything.

If they chose their own name, it would be quite reasonable to have some preconceptions about someone based on that name's meaning. Online aliases are a good example; from mine it could be correctly surmised that I'm into WWII-era military history.

Otherwise what honey said.

I'm a pretty horrible person. I'm very shallow, very critical, and very cynical when I meet new people. I cover it up with humor and being silly, and because of that I'm fairly well-known around my college and apartment complex. I don't actively try to be a shitty person - it's just comes naturally.

My relations with a person include a number of factors, not just their name. That said, their name isn't really all that important, unless it just doesn't "fit" right. Sometimes I meet a new person and I don't like their name because it doesn't "fit" their physical appearance or personality, but that doesn't really affect my judgement of them. More than anything I judge someone based on whether their looks and personality match up.

Sure, there are names that I prefer and names that I don't prefer, but I'm already fairly judgmental. I believe judging someone by their name is pointless.
