4th Gen Does a playthrough Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum irritate or refresh you?

    Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum are actually the only games that I can play again, and again without getting bored half-way. It's just so refreshing.

    What about for you? :D

    I could never play through that game again, tbh. :x I was irritated enough the first time through, another time through would just be....ughh.

    I can play RS and FR/LG over and over and over without losing interest. I haven't played RBY or GSC in some time so I can't speak for those. DPPt play through again is just the same for the previous games. I am a pokemon fan, so I really don't ever find myself overly irritated with it ever.

    Depends, really. I have HG, so I'd happily go out and buy SS and play again. Gen 2 was the best. Fire Red, I cant play after the offee guy in Viridian. I dont want to do Hoenn again. It was so.....boring. If the remakes come out, I'll try again but..... I'm using my AR on Diamond.

    I can play any of the Pokemon games over without getting irritated by them. I make sure to build my team differently each time, and I try to bond with my Pokemon. Maybe it sounds a little silly to attach personalities to fictitious beings, but really, it's fun and it makes every playthrough feel different.

    Of course, if you mean, like, play the same Pokemon game back to back, starting it over right after I finish it, then that's a little different.

    Can't say any of the games when I play through them again have annoyed me with Pokemon, so I'll disagree with it irritating me. However I am more into replaying HGSS than DPPt but that's personal preference.

    same here irritation here. I hate it so much. too long.

    It definitely refreshes me. Team Galactic is one of the Evil Teams that I enjoy beating and I love finding and using some of the many obscure Pokemon in the Sinnoh Dex. HeartGold is my go-to game for a refreshing playthrough, but when bored, adventuring through Sinnoh is never out of the question.

    Hmm...well, Diamond both refreshes and irritates me. The limited choice of pokémon makes choosing a team a lot simpler, and the game's kinda nostalgic. But it also has a habit of freezing up due to my brother damaging it. This happens particularly on the snowy routes, making it exceedingly irritating me. Some of the graphics and the ridiculous slowness annoys me too. However overall it does generally refresh me.

    Platinum, on the other hand, has none of the problems with freezing or slow battles (They're a lot faster than Diamond, and about equal to Black when you factor in how long it takes for the battle scene to start in Black). It has Battle Frontier, and updated graphics (although whilst the new tropical theme of the Battle Zone is nice and different, it makes even less sense when you consider where it is), but it also has a much greater choice of pokémon. This leads to my commonly-frustrating 6-pokémon syndrome. I want to use about half of the pokémon available in the game, and can't. I also get frustrated that I can't get any of the new ones until Mount Coronet, so have to end up using Shinx or something, which I'd rather use in Diamond and replace with Electivire etc.

    Overall, despite the flaws, Diamond is more refreshing than irritating, and despite all the bonuses, Platinum is the other way round.

    I kinda irritates me, with all the changes that Gen V brought being absent,plus the region feeling quite dull. I don't have this feeling with Emerald for some reason.

    I could NEVER replay my Black version, tried to but couldn't muster it without getting bored. Gen 5 is just awful for me. So I guess we are opposites. Except I like Emerald too. Maybe it's the whole Battle Frontier thing I like.

    When it comes to RPG , I can never play threw them again because most RPG's have too much to do (such as Pokemon) and I just simply can't play threw them again no matter how fun they are (such as Pokemon). But my way of playing through the game over again is when I get the third version of the game

    CAll me crazy but I like genI/II better.I however had some issues with DPPt and hate it.So yeah it pisses me off

    When it comes to DPPt, I just can't replay them; I get too irritated. The games just weren't my favorites, and I agree with Para-Dox, I felt the region was a smidgen bland. However, when it comes to FRLG, HGSS and RSE I can replay them over and over. Maybe there's a bit of a nostalgia factor coming into play for me here...

    I don't mind playing through D/P/Pt again. They're far superior to R/S/E, and level grinding isn't as frustrating as it is in B/W.

    I just haven't had a chance to pick up and play them again in awhile, especially since right now I'm focusing on a Leaf Green playthrough.

    I think I would thoroughly enjoy replaying Platinum once I got all my pokemon transferred over. Diamond/Pearl? Not so much. I still haven't finished Pearl, now that I think about it..xD;
    I probably should do that some time. >_>;

    Platinum will for sure, I love the feeling of having a Torterra blasting through the Gyms and E4 along with my hand picked team. It's just great. HG is always great for nostalgia, as Pokemon Gold was my first videogame. I loved FRLG! Still do. Though, I hate how every protagonist sprite besides BW makes the rival look much more cool (I would for sure want to look like Silver, Blue/Gary Oak, and Barry!) I, strangely, dislike the Hoenn games. The map felt... bland? The areas were dark in a way. I wasn't a fan of the sprites we were given. Gen 1 was fun, though I get frustrated with little things like Bite being a normal type move. BW had a great story, but had some extremely bad looking Pokemon. When I first saw ads for it I thought, "A Fakemon-hack...?" So anyway... there's my opinions.
