    I was talking to my friend Kelly today over the phone, and we Wi-Fi battled.
    Now, she sent out her Pikachu, Rairuki, and I sent out the weak Wooper, Woopie, who she had just traded to me.
    I could have sworn I heard her laugh, but I shunned the thought.
    (Now, of course I didn't think I heard her laugh when she appearently found out for the first time that electric attacks don't harm Wooper, but that's another story...)

    So then, I talked to her on the phone later with Wi-Fi still on, and I heard an echo of her voice, so I thought my phone was broken.
    Now, I just traded a poke'mon with another guy that I met on here today, and as our poke'mon passed each other on the trade screen, I heard him say, "Thanks".
    That really scared me! So does anyone else know you can talk to people using the DS mike? I really want to know!
     
    Yup, you could voice chat with people while trading and battling all along.. It's nothing new. It's fun to talk to some as it's faster to communicate with than by sending messages. I've celebrated New Years and shot off fireworks over wifi, too. Voice chat is pretty neat. Most online and newer games implement voice chat in some way.

    If you want to turn if off, press X or Y while on the wifi menu.

    It's not really new,but the Voice Chat function is implemented into the Diamond,Pearl and Platinum games. You'll be able to chat while battling and trading through the built in DS Microphone. You can also disable and enable the option of having to Voice Chat

    I actually heard a friend watch cartoons while trading with me. That was funny. I actually could say what he was watching. Nothing special about that to me. First I thought it might be possible and when I first heard it I knew that's great for commenting moves right after seeing them.
     
    Erm, I dont buy anything without knowing all its features. I think ur story is pretty funny though.

    lol. I only found out when BlackTux started yelling at me when wi-fi was playing up.

    All anyone could hear was him saying "the eevees are fine!!!".my parents disconnected the wi-fi thinking i was being bullied

    I knew about it.
    I also read this magical thing called the instruction manual which told me all about Voice Chat. >.>
    You can start a voice conversation on WiFi without battling or trading either. Just by talking to a friend on WiFi and clicking Voice Chat.
     
    I did, as when I got my DS I got some accessory pack with earphones/microphone and it said when over wi-fi you could do that and I thought it was pretty cool.
     
    Omg lmao!!!!! That story was hilarious rofl. Haha well i knew about it. I bought a ds headset when it came out which was when diamond and pearl came out too. I like it because its very sensitive and picks up alot of noises easily. What sucks is that it cost 20 bucks when it first came out and the price quicly changed to 10 bucks then now its 5 bucks new at gamestop... I feel so ripped off lol
