does anyone still care about grinding to lv 100?

I remember back when grinding to lv 100 was sort of a big thing for a lot of people way back when, but I'm not sure how much weight it has these days. In recent Pokemon games, it really seems like the most you'd need to train up to is Level 50 in order to participate in Battle Facilities, as it seems like grinding to Lv 100 has very little, if any practical use these days aside from Bottle Capping.

Do any of you still focus on level grinding your Pokemon to Lv. 100?

i never have cared about it and never will i probably only have like a handful of pokemon i've even gotten to level 100 literally like it's boring.......you get them to level 100 and then what. there's no more room to grow. it mows everything down

    it's over

I don't think I ever focused on grinding to 100, tbh. It gets super tedious towards the end and there's little to no benefit.

I feel like I might've gotten a few to 100 during 6th gen because I played so much, but I honestly don't remember. Or if I did it was totally from the Rare Candies I didn't hack into the game, nope, never did that.

What level do you guys normally stop at? I'm about level 70ish in USUM and although I wanna bottlecap my mons I'm kinda wondering if that should be enough.

.... Makes me wonder if Lv 70 should just be the limit instead of 100 lmao

70 is where i stop usually, or at least slow down. not that i actively TRY to get to 70 usually, but i feel like that's the point i get to and i'm like okay i can kinda retire these guys for now. like i know i had some level 80's (possibly 90?) in X bc i was working on the national dex and did complete it...which resulted in a lot of level 60-80 range pokemon bc u know i'd take the strong ones in to the restaurants to do the battling for the small ones to level up on exp share

i don't want 70 to be the cap tho like. that's just where i personally start slowing down on using them, it doesn't mean i'm DONE forever bc at least at 70 they still have somewhere they can go u kno? so it doesn't feel like a waste to use them bc they still get exp and grow but yeah.

I haven't grinded to Lv100 since gen 1 there was never any real need to, I don't really play much post game usually I'll complete the league then do a little bit of post gaming then move on to the next game I want to play som my levels don't tend to go much over Lv70 granted my team on Alpha Sapphire are Lv60 and I've only just got the 6th badge so there is a good chance I'm gonna smash the Lv80+ barrier using exp share

I stop around 70 to 80 midway, since post-game have those level gaps around 60 to 70 and at point of 100, you are just a wrecking ball at the opposing team, its literally boring unless you play online.

Yeah i grind to 100 where I can for my main pokemon. Blissey bases were amazing for this but it is a real chore and not 100% necessary.

I only ever raised one Pokémon to level 100, and that was back in the Gold and Silver days. I loved that Nidoking so much! I never really bothered after him, because the benefits seem to really slow down after level 70-80 for most Pokémon.

I don't think I've ever actually level grinded one Pokemon to 100 in quite some time. @__@;; Mostly because I just don't think it carries as much meaning as it used to anymore. I think back when Battle Facilities had Lv. 100 matches it would be worth it for me then, but since that isn't much of a thing anymore, there's really not much of a reason for me to train to Lv. 100 these days aside from Bottle Capping.

... and interestingly enough, that's pretty much the only reason why I'm training a lot of my Pokemon to Lv. 100, is just so I can fix their IVs. .__.

Along with training every Pokémon in the game, I make an effort to grind every one of them to lv 100. Maybe it's a little obsessive compulsive but, idk, it just makes me happy.

    All I have to say is thank goodness Chansey is in USUM cause otherwise getting to Lv. 100 would be.... a lot more painful lmao ;__;

Not really, no. I will do it if I need to bottle cap a Pokemon since they have to be level 100 for that but that is the only reason.

I do it if I have a Pokemon I'm going to battle with online or something but I never do it for a pokemon I use through the playthrough. I know you don't have to anymore but I just like to do it.
