4th Gen Does everyone cheat?

If you think about it...that doesn't make sense. xD
We're all entitled to our own opinions, and that's mine. Personally, if you think that hacking every Pokemon, cheating on Gym battles and in gameplay doesn't make you lazy then I don't know what does. T.T

Did he SAY he did that? I think very few people use cheating devices to literally play the game. Srsly, if you can't beat the gym leaders and E4 without cheat codes, you suck.

But once I'm done with that, I'm faced with the daunting task of: "So, you want to have a Dragonite on your team to battle in PBR? Good luck, it'll take two weeks of your time."

OR, I could just hop into Fire Red, cach a Dratini, port it into Diamond, Use my AR to have it levelled and evolved in about 10 minutes, TM it up and I'm ready to go. Took me all of about a half hour. To me, the fun of the game is the end result, when I've got the Dragonite up there next to my Charizard, whoopin up on folks. Grinding for hours on end to train some POS Dratini to do it is NOT fun.

Using AR/other Devices

I really want to start 'cheating,' to bypass grinding mainly. I think that as long as it doesn't result in nonsense like bidoofs with 999 stats, it's acceptable. I've been training at the E4 for so long, and I'm sure other people have been there even longer, but now I think it's kind of ridiculous how long it takes to reach lvl100 by actually killing stuff when it could be so much easier ei. rare candies.

I also think getting good IV's and Natures by cheating is acceptable too, but that's just my opinion. I agree it is lazy in a sense, but the what do you get from doing it fairly? There isn't much entertainment to be derived from hatching millions of pokemon, or farming an area of grass, or at least that's how I feel. The point of a game is to be fun, and farming/repetitive stuff makes me want to cut myself (not really.)

"Cheating is an last resort if you are looking for something, unless that something is right next to you"

Almost every pokemon on the GTS is hacked

Almost every pokemon on the GTS is hacked
Really...? That's not too fun to know after I've been trading over there quite a bit...

Is there any way to tell if it's hacked before you trade for it?

Nope, it doesn't even tell you the stats.

i dont cheat

i dont cheat because whats the point i like to play my game fair

We don't breed for pure entertainment, we breed for satisfaction and results. Winning a battle with a hacked, perfect IV'd Pokemon would give me no satisfaction whatsoever, whereas if the Pokemon I had bred, trained and cared for helped me win a big battle, I know the hours of work have been worth it and I can be truely proud of myself.

Human nature, well my nature anyway will not allow me to be happy by winning with hacks. I know some people here are purely about the winning, but for me it's taking the time and having the patience to find 'that' particular Pokemon that will take pride of place in my team and contribute in my battles. Of course the point of battles is to win, but I can take much more pride from losing a close battle against a good trainer than blowing everyone out of sight with ridiculously fake rubbish thanks to AR.

I have no respect for hackers. They say they don't have enough time to breed and stuff, but they have enough time to come on this forum and to get their AR to work. Go figure...

Plz tell me if someone on this earth doesnt have an action replay or some other thing that helps you cheat!

I strongly oppose cheating devices and such, and I definitly don't cheat, the thing is people have AR for one "true" reason: Lazyiness or lack of effort, both of which I love doing, makes me feel good that I win clean! :D

Also, hacking is just boring and takes the fun out of it.

I completely agree with swish too....

i have never cheated becouse i enter contests if i hade had fake pokemon or unfernet items i would be band from all contests and i would CRY

I have an AR and use it mostly for cloning. I'm mostly too lazy to enter new codes. And besides, where is the fun in cheating? *cougharceusshaymindarkraicough*

I don't cheat to win. I cheat to expand my playability. there are over 400 Pokemon out there now, and I want to at least say I've USED all of them. It's actually a challenge for me to win, because I don't hack for 'perfect' Pokemon. I hack to get cool Pokemon out there doing the fun part fast. For instance, I used my AR to train up my Charmander from Leaf Green, so that I could have a Charizard. Does that Charizard have good EVs/IVs? Hell if I know, I just like having a Charizard. And he know Solarbeam, which is just cool, and I couldn't have done that without the TM code. I'm having fun with him now, rather than having hours of not-fun to have fun with him now. The games aren't really designed for any real training after the E4. Sure, there a few spots where you could get decent exp., but it always boils down to grinding to get it.

Y'know what would be better? If they'd just give you some exp. for the Battle Tower, and have those pokemon in the Tower randomly generated. Then I wouldn't have to spend 20 bucks for a way around grinding and hatching to get the team I want this week.

I personally dont cheat

And Really i couldnt care less if people cheated or battle me with cheated pokemon, as long as the Ivs/evs/moveset/Ability and everything else about the pokemon (Which means no 999 wonderguard spititomb lol) etc are legit/normal then i dont mind. I sympathize with them actually, personally i know how long breeding takes, just to get the ivs and perfect nature etc. My friend wanted a Modest Baton Pass Lunatone from pokemon XD, however he didnt have the time to spend soft re-setting on that game just for one move which would of taken weeks maybe even months to get the right ivs, nature etc, he hacked for it, im totally cool with things like this, but IM NOT COOL with noobs that feel the need to hack a 999 Wonderguard <insert pokemon here who doesnt get wonderguard> and then battle you with it =/.

Ive seen pokemon with 31 ivs in around 5 stats especially from smogon WHICH ARE LEGIT for example a legit Hidden power ice Houndoom from smogon, so if you hacked, what would be the difference than if you bred/SR for it ? Nothing. Just the guilt really.

Yeah that's cool. I have no problem with people hacking to get their favourite Pokemon. Maybe I was a bit general and seemed to pick on all hackers. That's not the case at all. It's the hackers who use these Pokemon in their wifi competitive team. I don't mind people hacking items either, it's literally just the competitive Pokemon being used in battle. I don't even mind using hacked Pokemon to breed from as well. I just prefer doing it the long, boring way hehe xD. But yeah, I'm all for morals and stuff, so I'll never hack, but hacking a bit is ok, as long as your not using something ridiculously freakish like a Wondertomb in a competitive battle.

I only Cheat when i get Really annoyed (like when i can't beat the Final boss) or when i'm upset (Like today...my cat dad.) Other then that i don't cheat.. Rarley i just cheat for the fun of it.

i dont took my 1500 hours plus to catch my 381 pokemon and counting and lv them all up through the pleague and switch in switch out its much more rewarding when you do it yourself its just a little frustrating at times lol

I CHEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I admit it. I have an action replay and have used both the master ball cheat and the rare candy cheat. BUT I have never lost a battle on multi play, so... HA!
