Does you laptop freeze alot?

You guys really should get the hardware checked and the malware removed if your comps freeze a lot.

My laptop and desktop never freeze. Whether I run Win or Linux.
I have an issue with a certain game, which locks up every now and then, but task manager gets rid of it for me when that's a problem :D

Windows 07 is pretty good. Only freezes up when I accidentally open Internet Explorer.

My laptop freezes every now or then, but there is a reason for it. One reason could be because I cracked the screen badly that I can only see on only half of the computer screen, the other is viruses.

You might have a virus or trojan, check your antivirus

Mine freezes a lot. It'll be playing music, then suddenly it turns into this piercing buzzing noise and nothing works on it and I'll have to disconnect the battery and the power cord to get the stupid thing working again :/

I'm also having major problems with BSOD's when I'm starting it up from hibernation mode, as well as the CPU CONSTANTLY running at 100%.

Lesson learned: 1GB of RAM and Windows 7 do NOT mix:/

This. This is what happens to mine, but i've still yet to go and buy some more ram because i'm just lazy like that xD

Welcome to the wonderful world of netbook ownership. The battery lasts forever, because the processor is so under powered.

That being said, my netbook on occasion freezes, but I watch myself and don't run too many programs on it at once. My laptop on the other hand may only run at 1.5GHz, but it never freezes. Core 2 Duo FTW!!

My laptop never froze. It's an underpowered laptop from years back, but it still runs Windows Vista and its applications like a charm.

My laptop does this weird thing where whenever it starts, it has a 70% chance of freezing soon forcing me to shut it off forcibly. But 30% of the time, it works fast and perfectly. That's why I stopped turning it off, I just put it in sleep mode when I'm done.

Similar thing happened to me, I can only see 3/4 of my screen after my laptop fell of my bed. My laptop just starting freezing this year, especially when I use Google Chrome. Apparently when the Skype Toolbar crashes, every other program I'm running need to freeze as well >_>

I clean my laptop regularly physically and data wise. I haven't experienced it freezing once after a year of ownership and I plan to keep it that way. It pretty much runs as if it's still new.

i have never had an instance of my laptop freezing, and im a power user if there ever was one. i run multiple applications simultaneously and run resource-hogging tasks like video encoding quite regularly. os x is just a highly efficient operating system.

I don't have a laptop (although I wish I had one) but I have a desktop that freezes at least once a day!

My laptop doesn't freeze at all, it's only a year old, however the free laptops given at my school are really crappy and lag like hell! They also freeze and randomly shut down... =/

I got a pair of older machines, an eMachine W3653 desktop with one of those ancient socket 775 LGA conroe core processors, and a slightly newer Dell Studio 1555 Laptop with a Core 2 Duo, neither one of them freezes up though, and i love to do a lot of RAM devouring things, games, video and music encoding, and the like. That desktop only has 2.5 GB of RAM to boot. My laptop has 4 and it still runs like i just bought it, despite the eject button not working anymore.
