36. My high school originally had a capacity of 700 when it was first built in 1994. Then, after reaching nearly 900 students, they finally got an expansion to 1200 built in time for my junior year, adding 3 locker bays, an upstairs above two of those locker bays, and a cafeteria expansion, plus 20 classrooms and a group space. The expansion only moved the traffic jam area, though, and didn't eliminate it.

Fewer lockers would probably have eased the traffic jam, but my school preferred to limit the number of textbooks it bought so that it could buy nice things like flat-screen TVs for the TV system that was basically a slide show with all the club and school announcements and SmartBoards (interactive whiteboards :D ).

41. I only carried my stuff with me when I had two classes in a row on the far sides of the school from my locker. Otherwise I was an ace at getting across the school in five or less minutes because I would speed/power walk. We also had an awesome thing called morning break which extended the period between classes by about 10 minutes between periods 2 and 3. Far easier than the three minutes we had in middle school (though there rarely was ever any cross-school traveling there except for phys. ed and the required "electives").

During... I think it was Junior year, my fourth period was on the old middle school side, at the very end of the hallway, and my fifth period was on the complete other side of the school ( high school side. i forgot which one was the west side and which one was the east side hush ), up the stairs, at the very end of the hallway. There was a hallway in the middle that I had to go through, so needless to say it was hell trying to get to the other side at times. Luckily I'm small and a ninja so it wasn't too bad. But even with my speed walking I still would make it with not too long to spare.

... 'Sides. We wouldn't have two awesome courtyards if it weren't for no lockers (again, our high school looks like a prison). I could probably find a bird's eye view of the campus.
 
43. No fancy courtyards for my school. Just sports fields and a small plaza type thing where the flag is. Oh, and some wetlands. And I guess a grassy area behind the school where science classes launch their rockets.

Your school is like an oval. Mine was a big box. I see why it would be so difficult to get across, unless you used the courtyards. Google Maps shows what my high school's building footprint was when I graduated, but it shows what it looked like from above during expansion, so the second parking lot isn't shown. And the dirt parking lot across the street in Google Maps is now an ice arena and parking lot.

Assuming you went and saw an image, yeah, it's big. xD And that's even before all the high schoolers. Our high school is in the middle of nowhere, so across from it is some cow pasture that's filled with white birds during some seasons.

But on other news if my friend doesn't forget his decks I should be learning how to play the Pokemon Card Game on Thursday. |3
 
45. Yeah, I looked. Looks like it was designed so every last classroom had a window outside. My school had some classrooms with windows into hallways or none at all. The newer middle school nearby has a "garden classroom" on a small farm the school bought a few years back.

Awesome! :D you should totally start collecting or have him come help bring activity to PC's TCG section

What's with the middle hallways? :O

I'm thinking of like, D.Gray-man and Soul Eater.
Though a friend of mine who has read pretty much all there is available says D.Gray-Man goes "Evangelion and turns into an emo-depressing yaoi" halfway through O_o

Albeit that would be halfway through, and I'd only be buying the first few volumes >:3
