I like vampires in certain things, but I dislike what Meyer does to commonly accepted opinions amongst fantasy writers of what fundamentally makes a vampire, which include an inability to survive in daylight. Thus, her "vampires" are more along the lines of high daylight walkers like Evangeline A.K. McDowell from Negima!.
