TSRPR, TSRP2, SMW 2+3: Essence Star, Brutal Mario World/Super Kitiku Mario, Mario VIP 1-5, A Super Mario Thing... those are the ones I can think of off the top of my heads...

Actually, Mario, I BELIEVE has one of the largest amounts of fangames in existence, more then Pokemon, actually.

I'm going to venture a guess that MARIO beats TOUHOU with the sheer amount of fangames, which is incredible.

Also, it does take a long time. I never tried it, but with how much they have to do it to make music, it will take a long time.
