Anna? Not as in TheSmartOne Anna, right? Or is it not a matter of theme? /assumption

Edit: Disregard what I said. For some reason I was thinking of Prentiss. /damn somewhat similar last names; the first names are definitely distinguishable, though

I've been tired all day; my mind's been jumbled.

But I do remember you and Anna spazzing about Pratchett at some point. /urge to quote that post in a VM to her; she hasn't posted here since March ;;

6. I've never read any of these books you guys are talking about, save for Harry Potter. I preferred to read Tom Clancy and legal thrillers as a teen (yes, I like to read novels set in the present era involving war room scenes and court room scenes). Oh, and statbooks and factbooks. Can't forget those. I read through those like they were the greatest literature ever.

I should totally read another one of my books. They're starting to collect dust. The last one I read was about UFOs and was printed in the early '90s, which I really just read for the sake of seeing what UFOs were viewed like when I was a wee little tyke. plus conspiracy theorist books are amusing reads

She posts more in the PA section for the shipping debates lately, iirc.

I'm trying to remember what Pratchett wrote, but it's escaping me XD;

The kinds of older books I like most are the ones about the "future" (i.e. the time period we're in now). It's so amusing and interesting to see what kinds of things authors speculated would be around today that aren't. 'Course, I bet 50 years from now it'll be the same thing. Let's prove those kids wrong.

Bradbury has quite a few of them. The Illustrated Man (which is a collection of short stories, a lot taking place in the future), Fahrenheit 451, yeah... I also love how ironic it is that Fahrenheit 451 is a banned book.

There's also I, Robot. Nothing like the movie, but it speculated that we'd all have robots by now :B 1984 is another well-known one, but I couldn't stand the writing style when previewing it so I've never read it XD; Still love the concept, though.

11.

I heard Fahrenheit 451 under stress so I didn't enjoy it as much as I could. Of course, I also kind of read 'To Kill a Mockingbird' under the same conditions, but I found that one much more enjoyable.

That reminds me that I forgot to snag 'The Light Fantastic' from my Dad's house. Guess I'm going to just have to buy the book myself. /wanted to reread it, but 'The Reaper Man' will do if she can find it.

Fahrenheit 451 and To Kill a Mockingbird had similar cases for me. Tried reading them for school when I had a choice, couldn't stand them. Had to read them for school a couple years later, loved them.

I also love how the HP series and The Golden Compass are banned books pretty much because of the fictional stuff that occurs within them. They're categorized as fiction for a reason.

Madoka better not be on the "wasn't awesome" list.

Ah, today's the first day of Finals and I have off 'cause I got my Forensics final done in class and I don't take a foreign language |D

That sounds like me, except I took some breaks 'cause of school and stuff ._. Still, finished it in record time compared to how long it's taken me to finish other 12-episode series.

...I should probably get off and go to the library to drop off my schedule thing. I'm only allowed on for three hours today 'cause I broke a rule Saturday.

Sob I loved Sayaka and Kyouko ;; /gets out the Phoenix Downs
