I know a lot of work has been put in to DS-ify Essentials. However, I'd like to go back to the GBA screen size. As this is code-side mainly, I'm not using an older version because they have bugs that in most cases were fixed in later versions.

So, how much work would it take to go back to 240x160?

    Try it and find out.

It took me 3 months to convert Essentials to DS size. I did add a few things that support changes in resolution (mainly in the battle scene), and the change log for Essentials includes a list of all the screens I updated which will be helpful in showing you what you'll need to change.
