Name: Bishop Geralds
Age: 21
Gender: The Phallic One
Personailty: Bishop is outwardly cold and sarcastic, but really he's a huge sap (Although he really is a smartass.) He tends to offend people because of his aggressive sense of humor but anybody who gets to know him realizes he's not a jerk, his sarcastic reflex is just faster than his forethought. He loves to fight and is always confident in his abilities, but he's not arrogant, his greatest strength in battle is that he never stops analyzing his opponent. Despite Bishop's love of fighting, he loathes killing and it has developed into another great strength and a great weakness, his goal is never to kill his opponent, just beat them into submission.
Another trait of Bishop which one the surface belies his true nature is his temper, Bishop is easily drawn into arguments and yelling but the only things that really matter to him enough to incite true anger are his morals and people he cares about. Thanks to his...upbringing Bishop believes anybody who really cares about something should be willing to fight for it, so he tends to show contempt for anybody who won't fight unless they can't. His early life also inspired an interest in machines for him, he loves working on them and stuff from Capsule Corp. Bishop considers the other Z warriors his friends and almost like his siblings whether they like it or not.
History/Training: Bishop's early life was pretty boring, for a long time all he did was go to school from his home in West City. He made a lot of friends and enemies pretty much all of which were guys (when he talked to regular girls he usually hurt their feelings without realizing it so nothing happened there) and all too often he got into fights which he ALWAYS won almost effortlessly. Bishop was pretty confused about the results of his fights for a long time, he didn't work out or take martial arts or anything so why could he pummel guys twice his size? All the boy's questions were answered and many more were born when his great-great grandmother came to visit.
18, Bishop's age at the time and the used name of the Android-who's-really-a-Cyborg offered as much explanation as she felt like...both too much and not enough. The main reason 18 had showed up was because Bishop had finally become a legal adult so his parents couldn't keep him there anymore and she was very confident he'd go with her. Apparently he was descended from one of the worlds greatest fighters lovingly referred to as "My Little Man" by her, and she was a cyborg. Funny thing about Cyborg's, it's a very ambiguous term, apparently Dr. Gero had engineered 17 and 18 in a way so complex that there was no way to properly understand the differences between their biological and mechanical parts, somehow her mechanical traits had actually passed down the line...huh...how bout that? Apparently they also skipped generations and most of the family showed no signs of special talents for quite a while before him.
The young man was definitely intrigued and since the disturbingly young-looking woman refused to tell him more there, he acquiesced in the end and told his parents he'd been offered a job in East City and left after some tearful goodbyes yadda yadda yadda. When they had gotten a short distance out of West City 18 told him to grab her hand explaining only with. "I didn't bring a car." Bishop only had time to wonder if she might be handing him bus money when they rocketed through the air at what felt like a million miles an hour and before long they stopped at what must be the tiniest hunk of sand in the world bigger than a sandbar and on top of said sedimentary plan of land was a little pink house.
For the next three years Bishop trained almost obsessively, and he wasn't sure who kicked his ass more, Master Roshi, 18, or his fellow student Gojude. At first the young cybor-huma-whatever he is with the intricate weaving of natural and synthetic (and yet still he was born and they developed instead of being put in him..hmm...inconsistencies ho!) Was only trained by Roshi for quite a while, until the first time he sparred with Gojude, the other boy was nowhere near as much a novice as himself and Bishop was thoroughly beaten. After watching the pathetic display of failure from her great great grandson 18 added injury...to injury by stomping on Bishop's stomach and declaring she wouldn't let him make her look bad any longer.
Thanks to his nearly endless energy Bishop was able to get a ridiculous amount of training in, not needing to take breaks all that often, he actually made good progress and eventually he was winning the sparring matches almost as often as he was losing (Although to be fair he usually took advantage of Gojude's gullibility) And just a few months before our story begins Bishop was finally deemed worthy of the 2-star Dragonball. He was really getting bored of Kame House so when Gojude announced he planned to gather other Z Warrior descendants like themselves he jumped at the chance to go with his only friend.
Bishop, being part ascended human is of course powerful and physically superior to most people, but the real thing that's unique about him compared to his fellows is that he inherited 18's almost limitless energy. His talent is not as refined as 18's though and he doesn't have limitless energy like she does, he's just constantly absorbing it from the air, greatly increasing his endurance.
Appearance: Luckily the gene pool has had time to recover and Bishop is a healthy 6'4 instead of well...Krillin sized. His skin is pale but lightly tanned from all the time he spends outside and he has bright blond hair that he let's go down to his shoulders on all sides. He also has bright green eyes, and thanks to his appearance when he raises his power-level and his hair floats up he jokes about being a super saiyan, the joke tends to go right over Gojude's head but he does it anyways. His musculature doesn't fit with his strength, being fairly lean and VISUALLY not being any buffer than having a six-pack and slightly strong looking arms.
Bishop doesn't think much about clothing, his regular form of dress tends to be a red jacket over a white tank-top, loose black pants for mobility, and black and white versions of the training boots. Of course for training and combat Bishop wears a custom fitted Turtle-Hermit Gi.
Techniques
- Kienzan ~ Destructo Disk (Was there any doubt?) Bishop has refined the technique to the point where it's accurate, but he cannot control it like Frieza did without sacrificing power. (Which is a shame, because we all know what happens if it actually HITS anything.)
- Kamehameha
- Split Form Technique: Bishop can only make 3 split forms unlike other people who know the technique, but his increased energy supply allows for them all to be as powerful as he is, although they still can't take a hit well.
Signature- Ki Needles: Bishop draws upon his (and Krillin's) innate talent at forming his Ki into energy that is sharp to create controllable spikes of raw energy. He can fling them in droves and all though they are not extremely fast they cannot be deflected within a certain range and they can pierce anything, unless he gets lucky the needles themselves don't do much damage as of yet, but if they hit he can immobilize his opponent leaving them open to allies and unable to dodge a well placed Kienzan.
