Seems pretty cool with all the new features like a browser and camera but I probably won't get it =/

I got my DSi at launch... I likes it. Web browser is far from something new and exciting, but it's fun to toy with.

Where I'm really liking the thing is the home menu (yeah, I'm silly, but I love the set up. Sort of like a Wii + PSP/PS3).

I also cannot wait to see what DSiWare we get. I'd bet money we get Gameboy/GBA games on it soon enough. Possibly even Gamegear or something. Ohhh how sweet that would be...

I say it's way too early to bash the poor little DSi. It has tons of potential, despite what anyone may think.

Also, it just FEELS so much more durable than the DS Lite. I love it.

Yes, I will get it. I hope, I still got the original DS.

Eh, maybe I might. Definitely not right away though *jobless*.

I mean it looks pretty cool and all.. I love the fact you can actually browse the internet with this one, instead of having to buy a crappy game cartridge that'll let you. Also the bigger screens and cameras, not to mention the sd card slot and the fact that you can store some crap on there. But the one drawback that's keeping me from buying it, and probably most people's drawback, is the fact that it's lacking the backwards compatability.

The lack of a gba slot makes Neko very sad indeed. :( Although there are a lot of pros, this is a very big con for me...

So we'll see. Maybe I'll get it. I know I'll most likely get it if the ds I have now dies. Don't know how long that will be though.. I've had it since several years ago, and still no problems have arised from it other than a few dead pixels. xD

What?! I bought it, it's awesome! It's like a mini Wii! Beisides, my old DS Lite was broken so.. yeah.

I got the blue one, it's a limited edition for the USA only :3 (At least that's what the GameStop guy told me..)

I love surfing the web, taking photos, listing to my songs, and playing my DS games!

:3

Eh, I probably wouldn't mind a nice DSi. It's got better features, and they may even release a whole new range of games just for the DSi.

It sounds like they're trying to copy the Iphone, but adjusting some things to make it a bit different. I guess companies copying products wasn't just a legend..

I seriously think for this to work you'd probably require a SIM card and a carrier (I mean, you're going to be pretty annoyed if you can't use it outside a wifi range)...and I really think Nintendo with their free WFC service isn't going to want to charge its users.

Then, if you've got a ton of VoIP calls going on, that's going to make the servers very busy and decrease quality of service for everyone else =/

Nintendo usually make dedicated games consoles; you may notice the Wii still doesn't act as a DVD player, though it and the DSi now include browsers. Don't you think they'd rather still keep their products unique?

And uh, holding a DSi to your ear when you're walking down the street is probably going to make it easier to snatch. I worry enough with my BlackBerry, which is way smaller than a DSi =<

Nope, in my opinion, it's definitely not worth it, I'm just going to stick to the DS lite, because I'm not going to spend another $120 AND an extra $50 for something that can take pictures, play music, and record! (fun~!) I have a cellphone for that.

No I'm not, my DS lite works great, I only got it in 2006!
I doubt they'd realese a line of games esxlusivley, they didnt for the Lite.

In my opinion its not worth it you cant even play gameboy games on the DSi!
In my opinion the original DS was the best it worked well and it was hard to break (My friend let his brother play his DS lite and he dropped it and the the DS lite broke in half!)
He didnt drop it that far down either (2-3 feet he was sitting down) So I can Imagine the DSi being smaller it will break even more easily. In my opinion the DSi is a Complete waist of money

yes, yes, yes. I'm saving up for one currently, but it's totally worth it since my ds isn't even a lite, it's the first kind. so really, I want a new one and the dsi is right up my alley.

I don't care that gba games aren't playable for it, I'd just use my ds for that and besides they're so old, I mean, gba games = early 2000s and I'm the guy who likes all the new stuff.

I love everything about the dsi. the look, the potential and the capabilities. I want it.

I'm probably not going to buy it. I still play my GBA pokemon games and why spend another 200$ on another DS when i've got one that works perfect still..

I heard that you can use Wiipoints to download GBA games onto the DSi, thereby removing the need for the GBA slot.
