Dual-type moves

Dual-Type move only get stab from the first type listed, Flying Press only STAB with Fighting and any items enhancing Flying wont work on it.

I could see more Dual-Type move but they will be limited to a single pokemon for balancing issue.

Only Hawlucha had Flying Press with Smeargle and ORAS just added Pikachu Libre with it, otherwise no one else can use it. Any other Dual-Type moves will be the same as it will be limited to a single pokemon except if you got Special cases like Pikachu Libre.

Since learning that Professor Kukui focuses on Pokemon Attacks, I'm definitely thinking that Dual-type moves are all the more plausiable for Pokemon Sun & Moon.

Each Professor seems to study in a field that correlates to something that was introduced in that generation. Professor Elm studied Pokemon Eggs which happened to be introduced in Gold & Silver, Birch studied Pokemon Habitats which was one of the focuses with the introduction of weather, natures and what not and then Rowan specialized in Pokemon Evolution with the fourth generation introducing several new ways to evolve and many existing Pokemon receiving new evolutions to their lines. The point I'm making is that if Professor Kukui researches Pokemon attacks, perhaps he is trying to understand how Dual-type moves work?

I like the idea of dual type moves. But personally I just want to them to special to specific pokemon. e.g legendarys, important pokemon from the story.

I am doubting that will happen. Hawlucha and a lot of water types were able to learn Flying Press and whatever the water type move is. It would also be rather useless to only give it to Legends when the legends, for most part, are banned from competitions. So I don't think they will just give them to legends.

I think Flying Press worked great. So I think will may see a few more of these in the future.

I also don't think older moves will be changed. I think if they planned to do that, they would have done it in Kalos.

So Kukui's research is about Pokemon moves?

If this is the case, then this mean we could be seeing a lot of different possible concepts for new moves, and maybe some new dual-type moves like Flying Press. However, Flying Press was introduced as Hawlucha's signature move and while Pikachu Libre also gets the move, I feel it's still truly Hawlucha's move and introducing more dual-type damage moves will ruin its uniqueness.
