eevee happiness

    i dont know if there is a thread on this or not but i looked everywhere in diamond and pearl threads so........

    Does anyone have any tips on evolving my eevee to an umbreon/espeon?

    i already gave my eevee a soothe bell and i train by letting it face the oppenet alone. I give it clacium, carbos,iron. hp up, zinc, and protein. i give it massages daily at vielstone. (i dont have enough ribbons to go to the betteer one!) is there anything else i should do? my eevee's level 20. should i train it a VERY weak area so my eevee gets to kill more pokemon or should i go to a place where the pokemon r the same level but kills less and gains much more experience?
     
    If you give it that soothe bell and hatch about 30 gible, then it should love you. My Magby has never been in a battle and it already has two big hearts. Anyways, levels usually give +1 so I'd go for more exp. points because it only matters on levels, not how much you play or battle with it. Don't let it faint and keep giving it massages... That's all I can say. It must be close though. ;P
     
    You're doing exactly what you need to do. Also, walk around alot with it. In fact just get on your bike in the breeding town and just keep going up and down that one clear path (that goes from the bottom of route 209 to the top of Route 210-before the psyducks move, I mean) over and over again and you should see some results with the hearts getting bigger.
     
    If you just keep doing what your doing it should be fine. Did your Eevee hatch from an egg? If so it should reach max happiness soon, otherwise just keep working at it and you'll get it soon.

    when i want to evo some thing with happens just walk with the pokemon and maket hold a soothe ball when i do this do another thing i read a magzine the time goes like lighitning and bof your eevee has max happens
     
    does ur eevee automaticly evolve the very next level if it has too BIG hearts?

    Gible are just a new D/P pokemon and it takes a while to hatch them... The point was that just walk around 25,000 steps with Soothe Bell and it should get closer to loving you. Hatch starters or Dratini or Larvitar or something. XD
    Edit: Yes, it should evolve on the next level up.
     
    oh yeah..gible the land shark guy...okay....my eevee has two hearts that go up then back down, one more to get to 2 big hearts...Thanks guys!

    Sometimes when you're near the 2 big hearts and you level up it'll also evolve. I know that as I evolved mine before I'd reach the full maximum happiness. Just save before evolution if you aren't certain about it evolving.
     
    My Eevee evolved to espeon with two small hearts (it hatched from an egg though which I believe it takes less effort if that is the case). Pokemon like winning battles. even if they don't provide the final blow.

    Match Eevee up with some higher level mons then switch it for your powerful guys and gain some EXP.

    Or, give it the soothe bell, go to feugo iron works and look for the arrow that forces you upward until you hit a wall. put something heavy on the down button, plug in your DS, and go to sleep. Wake up then gain a level to evolve it. No effort at all.
     
    I'm surprised that nobody's said this yet, but you can also feed it certain berries to increase its happiness (Pomeg to Tamato).

    I did this two days ago, I hatched a Riolu and gave it a bunch of the berries that make the happiness go up and stats go down (Note: If you give a lvl. 1 those kinds of berries there stats wont go down) After I gave him some of the berries I gave him a rare candy and Lvl. 2 Lucario :D
     
    walking around with a soothe bell is the easiest but the boringest way to evovle eevee i guess......well i evolved my eevee into umbreon. i guess giving it a bunch of berries will do to.

    Why cant u change the DS time so it could be night or day whenver u want and get the massages every time u play? i do that all the time and nothing happens (excep for taking the massages every minute, i massage once a day still), i wonder why people said NOT to do it.
     
    Even if you change the time, the Diamond/Pearl CARTRIGE (not the DS itself) is set to run on its own clock. It prevents people from doing things the eaay way out. All you can do by changing the clock is catching pokemon at day/night.
     
    What I did to make a togepi evolve is this (in this order):

    1) I gave it 9 carbos, 10 sp. atk. ups (???), 1 iron, and 1 hp up.

    2) Gave it two ribbon society massages (sorry)

    3) gave it an exp. share, got my lvl 100 slamence, and killed a lvl 53 pkmn (you don't need a lvl 100, just sayin).

    4) My togepi (at lvl 1, hatched) grew 8 lvls, and evolved into a togekiss! (don't ask)

    The thing about eevee, is even if you happy it only at night, but lvl it up in the day, you will get and espeon. Just happy it whenever, save, put a worthless gba game inside, make your game morning or night, go to migrate, hit yes all three times, and lvl up!
     
    i rmember i used to make my eevee feed off level 5 pokemon until it reached almost 16. then i gave it 2 of each crabos, iron, calcium,zinc etc. Then i defeat one more pokemon then it would evolve to umbreon or espeon. but that was in sapphire, it didn't work in d/p.
