Egg Hatching

What are your feelings towards this? Let's hear it.

It can become a chore depending on the species of Pokemon you are trying to hatch. However, it's necessary for competitive play, because you have to breed to get the optimal IV spread and/or egg moves that you want. I don't ever breed in-game 'mons unless it's for some post-game battle facility.

I don't do breeding unless it's for pokédex entries so I don't really have eggs in my party often. It's not that bad when you do have one though, you can just go wherever you want with it and you'll just have one less slot in the party.

I usually get a Magmar or a Slugma or anything else with Flame Body or Magma Armor as an ability and keep in my party. Then I find a spot where I can just ride my bike in straight lines over and over until it hatches.

That's when I hold my finger on the D-pad and have a snack or watch TV or do something else while I don't have to concentrate on the game.

I get Flame Body, my bike and Battle Resort Island and waste the days away trying to get what I want. xD Lately I've been trying to make a competitive team so I've been spending countless hours trying to get the perfect Pokemon.

Egg catching is all about perfection. You can cheat too, but that ruins the fun of working hard. I used to do a lot of egg breeding until I got lazy. The hardest part is breeding for shinies. People value legit Pokemon and seem to despise hacked Pokemon, so I guess you can say they're a lot more valuable too.

When I do my rare occasions of hatching eggs, I like to carry a Pokemon with Flame Body or Magma Armor to help speed up the process. It's too hard when you have to wait so long.

I breed (or rather, used to) a ton for competitive Pokemon and while egg hatching is super annoying and time consuming, OR/AS makes it so much more manageable. The trick on the Battle Resort where you loop while holding own just one key along with having a Pokemon with Flame Body in you party means that I can eat, watch TV, read a book and whatnot while my character cycles around xD I wouldn't want it gone entirely but instead of steps, it could measure time. It just makes more sense to have to wait for eggs to hatch than run around.

it's a long process. i tried egg hatching yesterday and lost patience. it would help if i had people to send me O-power. also helps to have a pokemon with flame body such as magby.
